~ A lot of our starters are injured.

~ We have a QB who can't hit a 10 yard pass.

All I can say is that, I really like the players and coaches on this team this year.

I was looking at some of the training camp pictures; we seriously have a boat load of talent. Not only talent, but we have experience now. We have a hardened, experienced quarterback, who works well when learning systems. We have depth behind him, we have a ton of talent on the o-line; more than we have had in years.
We have an EXPERIENCED linebacker core, very hardened and experienced. We have experience at corner now too.
Again, our d-line is experienced in this system now too.
We have some of the best kickers and punters in the league.
Morgan is good enough as a solid #2. Crabtree might be the most exciting player to anticipate watching in the NFL this coming season.

We have added talent at safety and O-line by a ton, but their lack of experience is probably the biggest area of concern on the team.

Looking at the pictures of Willis talking with Spikes, Gore sitting with Norris. It just looks like we might have something here. We have a core leadership of guys now, who have been to battle with each other for several years.

Even the coaching staff as a whole is more experienced.

If feels SO MUCH more solid than it has in years. The o-line, especially at RT is the biggest concern (as always), but hopefully the raw talent we have added can fill that gap, and fill it fast. If it can, I just don't see us losing many games with this very talented, hardened, tough group of players who have some chemistry now.

Its like it just snuck up on us, no matter where you look now, there's talent, its just about everywhere, even in the depth. Its not perfect, but "wow", REAL excitement for a change. No gaping holes, no Kwame Harris's bumbling about. It really feels like something this time. Compare us to any team in the league, and talent wise, we are right there. Quarterback is the mystery card, its like the river card in poker, it might make or break this team, but again, even at this position, I just have a feeling its going to all work this year. There is just TOO much damn talent

He is already laying out our WR, look at Ctree; going up for an overthrown behind him high ball, the usual pretty much, then falling badly because of the layout. See, he's not even getting hit, like he WOULD in a game..

Hell no! My optimism is still high! Why shouldn't it be??? Even in light of the recent events (Coffee and Balmer) I have more reasons to be excited than not too! We should still win the west and who knows what can happen in the playoffs!...GO FREAKIN NINERS!!!

Coffee made a personal decision. There will be a good RB cut as teams get down to 53. He worked hard to bulk up but his heart wasn't in it.

The whole Balmer thing is a mystery. He was working hard in rehab and then just quit. The guy hasn't done squat and RJF is now are starting nose tackle. RJF wants to be here. I bet that Oregon guy we signed wants to be here. Balmer is a quitter, assuming he quit. Or he could be bipolar like Barrett Robinson. Who knows, who cares. McDonald has done WAY more than him.

Franklin aint giving up $7 million he'll sign

We'll get a backup RB

Crabtree's injury isn't serious

Heitmann will be back early in the season.

Ginn is looking good

The two rookie OLs have already earned starting spots. Everything reported has been glowing about their work ethic and their not making the same mistake twice

Alex, despite a poor practice or two, has played well. Live bullets will tell.

Ahmad Brooks will be back

The only real bummer is McKillop but he'll be back next year. Think of it as stashing talent on the IR.
