I love how Smith had to correct Cohn TWICE. Cohn took what he heard from Singletary and put his own garbled spin on it, only for Smith to explain it very clearly and forcefully. Say what you want about Smith, he's got the right attitude and knows how to deal with media bullies like Cohn.

Hard to believe this is the same kid we drafted. His confidence level is 180 from 05.

It makes me wonder, "What if?" What would this team have accomplish if they were in a more stable situation 3-4 years ago?

This is the year of the Smith. I know he will play better just because of the confidence he is showing. He's got a grasp on this offense and this time, he is not letting go!

This makes me feel pretty good. However, I don't think there has ever been a question about his intelligence.

Now he needs to prove it on Sundays when the bullets are flying.

I do like the confidence. He has to feel a lot better after the way his 2009 went. He has walked a pretty tough road and that can give you a lot of perspective. I get the feeling that he isn't just saying what the crowd wants to believe. I think he really believes what he is saying.

Theres a difference to Smiths manner in how he answers the media and stature in how he goes about himself unlike previous years. And I dont think it has anything to do with the hype the team or he is getting in the media.

He looks good, he looks confident and I hope it all transpires onto the field. He looks like a leader in that interview.
