But he SHOULD be beating the back-up LT. It's much more embarrassing that you get put on your butt by someone who won't make the team right? Guaranteed - Balmer will not start - ever unless all DL are injured.

I'm not sure how to interpet the Nutcracker drills. It's basically a bullrush, so I don't know if it means much of anything. They aren't trying to get by the guy, just blow each other up. All lineman in the NFL are big and strong, even the practice squad players.
To me its kind of like having the WR run a foot race. I wouldn't be suprised if MC was one of the slower guys, but I'll be dammed if he isn't the best.
