With the CBA set to expire at the end of the season, I don't know what the rules are when that happens, but if the final 8 rule still applies, that could hurt the San Francisco if they make the playoffs and advance.
Vernon Davis is asking for $8M/yr which is WR money. Can you say franchise tag?
Goldson is asking for a lot of money, Lawson wants a new contract, and of course the 49ers may need to allocate some money for the quarterback position.
The 49ers won't be able to keep everybody, that just the nature of the business. I could see the Rams or Cardinals signing Lawson, which would suck.
Given that their demands may be the same, ignoring the position they play, who offers more value to the 49ers? Who is the better player overall, Lawson or Goldson?

These guys will play great because its a contract year then have average careers after. Well maybe not Goldston but Lawson.

This is speculation.
If the NFLPA and the owners don't come to an agreement, we won't have a 2011 season at all.
More likely, they'll come together and re-use most of the language from the previous CBA with revisions to games played and revenue sharing.
Goldson, Lawson and Franklin will likely walk next season regardless. While all three are important, none are crucial to absolute success like Willis and Davis are.

I'm not completely familiar about our salary situation, but I think that we'll let all 3 walk.

I wouldnt count out re-signing Goldson and Franklin.
We have a good number of players as FAs.
Davis is priority #1 since Willis is taken care of.

I believe Vernon Davis will be signed to an extension before next year.

That's what I've heard too.
And the only player listed who the Niners should prioritize is Davis. The other guys have to prove (in their contract year no less) that they deserve to be part of this team going forward.
If I were to guess, I'd say the Niners keep only Davis and let Franklin, Lawson, and Gholdson walk. Franklin will command too much money, and hopefully our young talent will fill the holes well.
