That's an underrated game IMO . . . very entertaining . . . in the rain and all. I was worried they would come out flat looking forward to the inevitable match-up with Dallas.

I remember the great endzone brawl after Young got popped late by Gayle and William Floyd giving Alonzo Spellman the horsecollar takedown.

Why is it that i remember the season and the game vs the Cowboys and the SB win over SD but i don't remember this game at all!!!!

I remember those two, plus the 40-8 drubbing by the Eagles that left us at 3-2 and Jim Rome bad mouthing the hell out of us (He was just a local radio jock on a San Diego station) I wanted to strangle that a-hole. I was hoping the Eagles loss gave the 49ers the wake up call they needed, and it did.

That 2nd possession for the 9ers destroyed the bears physically and mentally. I never realized how potent our run game was back then.

Awesome game to watch. Forgot how great Watters was.

It is amazing the rhythm we played with back then. Got 7+ yards on seemingly every play. Never had 3rd and 10 like we do every possession now.

Also, cool to see commercials for Dumb and Dumber, and Simpsons epsiodes which are classics now!

Steve Young and Jerry Rice with his blocking and taking most of the focus of the defense. Just like when we had TO, he was a great blocker and opened up the run game. Little do we realize what a WR of that caliber can do for you.

Me to. When Davis got that Pick6 against the Cowboys I flipped out so hard it is amazing I didn't have a heart attack.
