In trying out Snyder for a backup role at center, this means the team is open to the possibility of Boone, or one of the other youngster OT to be the primary, or number 3 OT, behind Snyder, who would allow the team to release one or two of the interior linemen.
Wallace better play lights out, since his 15 minutes are about extinguished.
As of right now, I'd bet on these nine:
Staley, Iupati, Heitmann, Rachal, Davis, Snyder, Sims, Baas, and either Wragge or Boone.
I still can't believe we got Iupati, I pumbed up.

Given our lack of real interest in any of the FA centers, I'd say the coaching staff fully plans on him being our starting center.

Snyder Performing Well
Good to hear Snyder is doing well. I'm hoping he makes us forget about Baas, Kreutz or whoever. This kinda feels like a PR stunt to quiet down the media and fans though lol.

I'm still skeptical, but it appears Snyder's cleaning up his act; has lost weight, and has become more versatile.
Or maybe he's just in an offense now (with an offensive-line coach) that's going to better utilize his potential (other than use him as a 'pressure' plug off the right side).

That would be a victory on a number of fronts right there

Me too. I'm encouraged by the reports of Snyder at C if he does end up playing there, but I would love to sign Kreutz and have Snyder push Chilo to the bench.

I was hoping Snyder would step up to fill the RG position. Even though, I think he's still a little too small to be playing interior line, but if we had someone from FA to fill the RG spot, I think Snyder would be good at center workin Double Teams with Iupati or anyone other than chilo.
