Wallace is gone and Boone spends another year on the practice squad.
I don't see Boone being placed on the PS after he has displayed his willingness to work to be a legit player. If he does make it to the PS he will get claimed imo. I don't think the team will take that chance as he seems to have a nice upside and the attitude/work ethic to realize that up side.
ya we dont want to miss another H. Dahl

unless the other player of the co-recipient of the dave remington trophy was wragge..... doubt it. structure? oh well
Um right. That happened six years ago. We select our backup center based on what happened at college.
So why has Wragge had all the backup duties?
because baas was equelly good at guard... and he started at guard... wragge will never start at any oline position. if it doesnt have to do with an injury. has wwragge started? besides injury, no he has never earned a starting role and baas has
Well, I think you will find that Wragge is and will remain backup center. The team has kept Baas on the bench if I recall correctly, but put Wragge in to sub for Heitmann.
Baas has been a disappointment at guard. What makes you think he will be any better at center?
sorry, u might be recalling incorrectly baas started last year the whole season if i recall correctly. He was better in college, and what meakes u think wragge just all the sudden got better than baas.

baas is better than both at center... but heitmann is not losing his position
Wragge will be backup IMO. And Baas will be history
Bass is a starter at guard and Wragge is only a backup. I would assume they are going to keep the starter quality player, especially if he can backup at C.
Baas? Kidding. Why do you think we spent a 1st on Iupati?
Seriously. Baas is just the mistake we made in haste after missing out on Logan Mankins. Baas is damn near worthless and that isn't going to change.

Do you recall that we drafted Iupati in the 1st? Why do you imagine this was? Baas is not up to it. I don't claim Wragge has suddenly got better than Baas. At center clearly the team has thought Wragge the better option for years.

He doesn't seem to have the feet to play tackle and got bulldozed at guard. He's almost like Wragge now, where he get be a back up but you don't want him starting.
Finally someone watched the same games I did !..Dude got over-powered/punked at guard, and was always overmatched and over paid at Tackle..Dude is a backup at best. The key is Boone, if he has a "Dave Fiore" type camp, Snyder is done. Albeit, Wragge was always good off the bench, but sucked as a starter(hence Coach Sing benched his ass, and started Rachal)..

Whomever loses the battle, (Wragge or Snyder), trade them to someone for a backup DL.

disagree again, baas was just better and needed to be on the field. No matter how good he was, he was one of the best 5 we had. wragge also backs up guard to... but someone needed to play guard and baas was best option, so he hasnt practiced there. which tells me he is more utility like snyder. If he was better than baas he would have started imo. But yeah baas moved to guard because heitmann is solid, no matter what people say. so baas moved to guard.
ps. do u think theres a reason iupati came in? ok well do u think theres a reason when that happened baas started practicing center? Thier prolly hoping baas can replace heitmann in the future as wallace is horribles.

Iupati was drafted because Baas has not made it. They are giving him a shot at backup C prior to shaking his hand and showing him the door.

This is the time of year to experiment...and see what capabilities players have. Based on his experience at C in his senior season at Mich, I'd give Baas the edge to b/u Heitmann. Wragge has similar capabilities...but, Baas is a younger player which might give him a slight edge in the competition for a roster spot. The fact Snyder can play both OG and OT (although we all agree that's not his strongest position) could bode well for both he and Baas. If I was a betting man, I'd give both Baas and Snyder the best odds to make the team.
Snyder needs to be released already..seriously? C? come on maing

I think I'm with the Funky Chicken on this one. In trying out Snyder for a backup role at center, this means the team is open to the possibility of Boone, or one of the other youngster OT to be the primary, or number 3 OT, behind Snyder, who would allow the team to release one or two of the interior linemen.
Wallace better play lights out, since his 15 minutes are about extinguished.
As of right now, I'd bet on these nine:
Staley, Iupati, Heitmann, Rachal, Davis, Snyder, Sims, Baas, and either Wragge or Boone.
