Prove it on the field Alex.

And Maiocco, Barrows, 49ers PR, and the rest of the media need to shut the f**k up about Meyer's quote over a half decade ago. I don't care if there's an attitude change in Alex Smith. I care about if there's an on the field performance change in Alex Smith.

Whether you believe it on not, this is a big step in Alex Smith showing you. He has never taken command of the offense like this before. This is a big step considering the team is still practicing in shorts. What more do you want at this point in the process?

Well we always hear about how Smith is looking like a Pro Bowl QB during practice, people just wanna see in-game results.

This. All of us are tired of getting are hopes up and then not making the playoffs, so i'll believe it when i see it

So to all of you that want him to prove it on game day, come back in September!

In the meantime, we fans want to get as much as we can about the PROGRESS our team and QB are making even if he farts in the wind.

And by the way, "The Coach Meyer" label is real and we are going to see the second part of it come true this year.

If you don't like ALL the posts about off-season activities, "Then why you came?" If you stay, deal with it!

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!

In the meantime...all day biatches!!!!

That only worked in Madden prior to 09.

I want the media to stop focusing on the Meyer quote, and actually display their non-partisan, objective viewpoint instead of being biased because Alex is a good and articulate guy.

I like Alex, but it's practice. Just because he actually knows the playbook now - something which he's getting paid 3+ million a year to do - doesn't mean its going to translate on gameday.

I think Matt Maiocco is getting some action from Alex Smith for all of these love blog entries.

Actually Alex showing that he knows the playbook now is what you want. You are asking him to do something in Sept , now! it makes no sense. Chances are he will be able to show it on the field come sept because of what he is doing now. The fact that you are acting like he did not grow tremendously last season shows bias against him. At this time of the year, he is doing exactly what we need to hear. Let Sept come before asking to show me on the filed

Thank you. Well said.

that is a great point. him showing leadership and the ability to know exactly what and how the others players are supposed to do is a tremendous improvement over what he built on last year. im very excited to see what he can do this year, just like I was excited for him the year after Norv the year of his injury

He likes that Smith2Davis action...
Someone needs to make a great pic of the 11-85 combo and "brand" that biatch! It would sell like hotcakes this year.

You saw it develop before our very eyes last year and its only going to get better and scarier to the point, D's may have to double him allowing someone open.

I remember reading about Alex's comments about "mixing" the formation so that they are unpredictable this year. This way they can move Davis around psyching the D out, taking them out of position.

I can't wait to hear more from this tandem!

11-85...sounds like a road or something. To get to the playoffs, U need to take the 11-85, then exit the 21 up the middle. When u reach 11-15 u wanna follow the 84 which will turn into the 89/19....
I just want to see Smith develop timing with all of his receivers so that he can safely predict where they will be and when to throw so that the ball is waiting for them when they come open and they are hit in stride and get some good YAC.

I want to see consistent offensive playmaking. I want to see good time of possession, good third down play, and an occasional 30 to 35 point game. I would like to see 300 passing yards a game as a consistent production level and 150 rushing yards a game. But I will take anything that shows we are consistent and we are improving, and that we are winning.

I'll take a W
I'll take a W as well anyway we can get it. But since this is offseason I want as much as I can imagine.
