I know a lot of people don't like that he ripped Carroll, atleast nationally. But I'm GLAD we have a player that's willing to speak his mind and now has something against one of our division rivals. Especially considering he's capable of destroying all of their offensive players!

I heard his interview on KNBR, sounds like a good kid with something to prove. He and Goldson will be a scary tandem for any team to face for the next 5+ years.

Nice find. I like the first article. I understand where Mays could be coming from. His former coach and mentor costed him millions of dollars, didn't draft him, and on top of that, drafted another safety in Earl Thomas from Texas.
The NFL is a business and people are only looking out for their own behinds.
It's all good though. Im glad Taylor Mays is a 49er and I really really hope he gets to start and/or get playing time against the Seahawks.. if he does, he will be playing with a HUGE chip on his shoulder and will be looking to take some heads. Pete Carroll... beware of Taylor Mays! He will haunt you in your dreams!!!

He's gonna knock one of their players out just to prove a point. I think Hoosh will be his first victim.

The senior management has ordered Singletary to start special motivational sessions with Mays. If Mays can bad mouth one coach, he can bad mouth another when things aren't going his ways. Senior management warned Singletary to be careful with this one as he bites the hand ..
The ownership and the senior management has full faith and confidence in Singletary's motivation magic to turn this renegade into a useful player.
The Lord blessed this franchise with Singletary.

But I for one did not like hearing that during his first interview, Taylor Mays responded by bashing Pete Carrol, yet Ive heard nothing about how happy he is to be a niner. Hes displayed why hes still sitting in the 2nd round. Immaturity. Sure, holding a grudge against a division rival could be a good thing, but I for one did not approve of this. How about some profesionalism for christ sake kid, your in the NFL. He also blamed Pete Carrol for him falling into the 2nd round. Accountability is needed if a player is going to improve on anything. Not denial, just ask Tebow. Maybe now hell realize how much work he needs and will begin doing it. The kid is talented and I like the pick, especially for Madden cuz we needed some speed. LOL.
Mays is heading to San Francisco Saturday morning where he will meet the media in his new charcoal suit. Before the draft he had said that, even though he would love to play for Carroll and the Seahawks, he had been impressed with Mike Singletary, the history of the organization and the "killer way they play defense." In one moment he had said he'd love to stay home, but in the next he hinted that, like most young adults trying to find their way, that the allure of a new city was compelling as well.
On Friday, when he was done venting, Mays said he was moving on, moving to the next opportunity, the next challenge.
"I look forward to playing 16 games for [Coach] Singletary, 16 games a year than I do playing Coach Carroll twice a year," Mays told a group of Bay Area writers via conference call on Friday.

I wouldn't call it bashing, all he did was ask for honesty, what's wrong with that. That's his former coach, I think he has a right to feel that way.
Pete does whats best for Pete. He's all about Pete. If you don't understand this by now its a little late in the game.
Yup. He may be an ex 9er but I don't like him. Did ANYONE see the interview during the end of the 3rd round? He's all like "yeah it tears you up inside to see your guys drop and you feel for them"... what stopped YOU from taking him in the 1st, Pete, you two faced PoS.
Good I like our players to be fired up for Division games.

Why don't you like him - he's a great coach? All coaches say that bullsh*t. He's no different from any other. He's part of our tradition and a true SFranciscan.
Pete Carroll can suck on Taylor Mays nuts
As soon as you are finished.
LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!! Great laugh. Thanks.
