Say hello to the 49ers 3rd TE. I think this kid is more than just a blocker. I believe he was also in the game as an H-back? He did a good job pick up that blitz which gave Alex time to throw the ball. Very nice game for Nate Byham! I think he just earned himself a roster spot.

Byham has gotten quite a few looks as a receiver and has looked good. I hope he was okay after that big hit he took. If he is healthy, he pretty much got himself a roster spot and will prove to be a good passing target out of run formations.

Byham showed me a lot...he's got some good hands and is a tough kid. The hit he took would've probably put a lot of players out, but he shook it off and was smiling when he left the field. The Vikes' S must've been thinking...man, I lit the dude up and he's smiling!
