What about 83 I think it was? When the Skins beat us in the championship game. That would have been a Niners Raiders Super Bowl. I assume we would have won, but the Raiders handled the Skins pretty thourouly that year. I hate to admit that.

This is what worries me about Singletary's coaching style.

or 1990 when Craig fumbled away our 3-peat. we wouldve stomped the Bills.

Sorry homer - probably Chris Carter.

or when Garrison Hearst shattered his ankle against the Falcons. If he doesnt get hurt we play the Broncos in the super bowl and beat them

they lost because they couldn't score an offensive touchdown
and couldn't stop Jerry Rice
why don't you cry about it

1. 1990 49ers - Killed everyone that year. Lousy Giants
2. 1983 49ers - 49ers were robbed by the refs against Washington.
3. 1998 49ers - Lousy Astroturf
These are the best teams to never win a ring.
I guess we could include the 17-1 Patriots.
Naaahhhh

What about the 1987 49ers who went 13-1 just to lose to the Vikings! We were on a tear that year and came up flat against the Vikes...it was a devastating, miserable loss! That to me, was one of the greatest teams to never win a SB! Jerry Rice had 22 td's in a 12 game season...FU! Randy Moss!!!

Honestly if we'd beaten the Redskins in 1983 I think the Raiders would have smoked us in the Superbowl. We had to scratch and claw and kick to get into the playoffs and then we just barely beat the Lions at home the week before. It wasn't that great of a team. But for a missed Eddie Murray FG with about ten seconds left we don't even make it to DC.
The Raiders on the other hand were solid all year long and on a roll late in the season. I'm actually thankful we lost to the Skins rather than the Raiders in the Superbowl. I couldn't handle the Raiders having head-to-head scoreboard over us in the big game.

LOL Bungles.
Niners punked 'em twice. I'd love the opportunity to make it 3-0 against those butt darts in the SB.

Do you guys ever listent to Chris Collinsworth and Boomer Esiason as commentators? Those guys hate the 49ers! They are still bitter over the loss and can't let it go. They are true competitors because they hate to lose but i just think it's great to watch those two curmudgeons on tv! lmao

I don't sense that from Collinsworth. I've heard him talk fondly of Montana many times.
