He could be valuable...if not to make the team, at least to help make the team better by providing veteran leadership and as an example to the youngsters. If he's lost too much because of his injury, he can always be cut...I'd say welcome back, for whatever the duration.
You can never have enough corners....EVER

we have to bring Walt back... he has been super solid, a mentor to our young not to mention a class act!... Bring him back and give him a fair shake at a job even if it is as a nickle or dime back... its only right...

And he does have the size and tackling ability to play FS. If we keep him on as a #4/5 CB and a #2-3 FS, then we can still add younger players to both positions.

CB: Clements/Brown
CB: Spencer/Rookie/Harris
FS: Goldson/Smith/[Harris]
SS: Lewis/Rookie
Don't underestimate him. He might end up starting at cb with clements at ss
I don't buy the Clements Staying at cb talk that the team is tossing at us. He certainly looked like crap at cb last year. Unless he pulls it together he won't be playing cb. Maybe he wants out of SF and he is forcing managements hand but he sure looked awful last year. How could anyone loose so much speed in one season?
I gave up on Spencer when he had his ACL tear, so I will definitely not write off Harris.

I do believe he deserves a shot at a roster spot. It would be foolish to just completely let him go.

35 year old guy, coming off a knee injury, playing a position that requires speed?
No thanks, unless at the vet minimum.
Unless his skills ad abilities are undeniably no longer good enough, KEEP HIM! WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT!

Nate Clements
Dre Bly
Tarrell Brown
Shawntae Spencer

Before his injury I would put him at #3 behind Clements and Spencer. Coming off an ACL tear i dunno.

True he was the best player in the secondary in 08/09

Walt Harris? u mean 06/07
he made probowl lol
The truth is that when he comes back from the ACL injury, he is going to be ineffective. He is old and a cover corner. I'm sure being out of football for a year has made his body soft. If he does come back for TC, look for him to gt injured and retire. If not, he'll get cut due to ineffectiveness or end up on the PUP list.
Ehhhh, nope sorry.

If Walt is healthy, and that's a big if; I think he is superior to all on this list as a cover corner with the exception of Shawnae Spencer.
