Yep. Absolutely agreed on everything you said, and he was below Baalke in some areas and parallel to him in others.

Basically, by demoting him back to under Baalke and shifting him over to new ventures (totally unrelated to ever interacting with Baalke) and promoting Guido to his old President spot (who doesn't have any jobs on the football side) this is what they've done.

I know I'm supposed to be up in arms and seeing a big conspiracy here, but like you, I see a pretty regular and boilerplate problem that developed in the management hierarchy that probably took some disagreement and role conflict for people to realize was actually a problem and rectify.

This is all seems like pretty normal organizational structure stuff to me. I dunno.

Jed's letter to his employees, he called the last 15 years a success that wouldn't have been possible without Marathe contributions. LOL. What is this delusional muppet talking about? 15 years of success? Outside of Harbs (who Parag conspired to run out of town) the last 15 years have been a complete disaster.

The guy successfully managed a billion dollar stadium project, rebuilt the 49ers analytics department to one of the better ones, established business policies around contract and salary cap management, oversaw a team that went to 3 NFC Championships and 1 Superbowl. And yet you think he's been a complete disaster? Come on man.

The current situation is he became expendable when rumors started surfacing about him being the source of the leaks. From a public relations perspective shifting him out is a win-win because it's a senior executive head on a platter for the fan base. From a business perspective it's clear he has value because they're shifting him over get a football stadium built for a (potential) professional soccer team. Maraathe will also get equity stake.

Analytics in finding out how many hardcore niner fans will spend money on team no matter if JT or Harbaugh are the coach
