Thee only two things that stood out to me as things I wasn't sure about were:
(1) The APY on Ward being 5 (instead of the 9 or 10 I was expecting)
(2) Saving money next year by restructuring Ford (which really scares me given his injury history and seemingly chronic injuries -- I'd rather keep the flexibility).

And I just don't see how we save $36M by restructuring JG, Staley and Ford in the real world. It's certainly possible but unlikely. But AB knows his sh*t. Agree about Ward...$8-9M seems far more likely.

I'm sure Paraag gets paid well but I'd hate to have that job. I always hated math and crunching numbers for a living would drive me nuts.

Haha, right? He's got a pretty large department and a lot of help.

I'm sure he's been working on this for quite a while now.
Interesting to see it when he presents the plan.

Great as Paraag is, I think there need to be some moves beyond restructuring. For example, USA Today sportswriter Cary Edmondson's ideas:
1- Tag then trade Armstead...re-signing him would require a ton of salary. I get Paraag's a freakin' genius, but there are a number of other financial commitments upcoming, including extending Buckner, Kittle, re-signing Ward, potentially re-signing Sanders & Blair, etc. The idea is to gain solid draft picks in a trade. Lynch has no picks between rds 2-5...trading AA could be a big step toward closing that gap. Obviously, Lynch would have to improve the DL's depth.
2- Release Joe Staley. I get it, it'd be an unpopular move for his teammates and fans, but the BL is it would yield @ $11M in cap space. The other option is to restructure Joe's contract, which wouldn't yield as much cap space, but it'd help.
3- Release McKinnon & Coleman. The former's a risk at best to be productive and a costly one at that. Coleman's in his last year of his current contract. Cutting both would yield @ $9M in cap space. Mostert and Breida will be back, as will Jeff Wilson. Acquiring another RB wouldn't be expensive.

This looks like that write up from niner nation. Not a big fan of the moves minus the McKinnon cut
