In business when you are at the top you have to stand aloof from the staff because you have to make at times objective and sometimes very ruthless decisions for the good of the organisation.

This is Jed's shortcoming as evidenced by hanging on to Baalke for way too long. If he was smart he would have sacked Baalke instead of Harbaugh or both of them at the same time.

However he was too pally with Baalke and kept him on till he followed the pied piper off the cliff into chaos

All we can do is wait and see who gets the jersey for New GM and Head Coach.

If Jed screws the pooch again I think the "owner may well be dismissed or demoted in the York pecking order.

Nothing like seeing a spoilt rich kid having his toy taken off him and put in the naughty corner.
