I like what I saw out of Nate Davis just as much as probably EVEYRONE else on this board, but there is one HUGE difference between Shaun Hill in 2008 and Nate Davis now.
Shaun was a 3rd string starter.
Nate is a ROOKIE 3rd string starter.

LMAO.
That is one of the funniest things I've read in the past week.

Okay, everyone on the zone knows I don't support Smith and I've tried REALLY HARD not to comment on these stupid threads because its pointless. Your responses are as stupid as they come though man and it just gets me going!
How can you argue that Smith is better than Hill by comparing how many wins each has and not consider how many games each has started??

Let me put this in terms you can understand; Smith has had an opportunity to play as the 49ers QB in 47 games now. Of those 47 games, he has failed badly by losing 31 times! Shaun Hill has gotten an opportunity to play in 16. Of those 16, he has won 10.

As to the Wonderlic?? Hill scored a 25, but who gives a s**t about that?!? Here are some other's scores who's names I think you will recognize:
Tarvaris Jackson 19
Derek Anderson 19
Vince Young 16*
Dan Marino 15
Terry Bradshaw 15
Donovan McNabb 14
David Garrard 14
I'd take all of these guys instead of Smith in a heartbeat!

Also for the last time...
the Wonderlic test HAS ZERO ZERO ZER F'n O questions that has anything relating to the QB position..
you can take a sample of it here yourself..
I don't know WHY the decision makers don't have Football type test for QBs....questions a QB should know....
not a question like
"4. A box of staples has a length of 6 cm, a width of 7 cm, and a volume of 378 cm cubed. What is the height of the box? "
that sure helped Alex on reading a corner blitz and throwing it to the hot read..instead of running and throwing it to where there is more coverage like he usually does.
edit- oh, the answer is 9 cm by the way....

Since people like syrup with pancakes and most who watch and play football are people. The 49ers have three QBs on their roster who are people and they most than likely like syrup with their pancakes. Of those three QBs, Smith may suck and since Davis being QB AND a person who most likely enjoys syrup with pancakes, he's ready to do what all people who play and watch football do - START QB. It's BECAUSE he enjoys syrup with his pancakes makes his ready to play.
Oh yeah, Alex Smith sucks despite possibly liking syrup with pancakes because I've see no stats saying otherwise!
It's all about the syrup.... and pancakes. See?

BWAHA!! Reminds me of..
...ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this Nate Davis? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this Nate Dvis! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must start Nate Davis! The defense rests

Ya but would you rather have a genius like Alex Smith at QB or someone that said Singletary made 11 probowls and played 7 years like Nate Davis?

i thought you were tryin hard not to comment... 1st off any way you look at it smith easily out performs hill period. no hes not joe. but hes the best on the team and hill should move to 3rd string. nate davis is better. he might be better than smith too but we need to mold somebody instead of just throwing him in there. and no im begging our team not to take any qb in the first... alex can play tell we develop nate or snag a qb next offseason, we need a line.

forget drug testing... someone needs to check if Alex cheated on his Wonderlic test.....I demand he retakes the test.
