Loved Ray Brown as a player. He was a natural leader in the locker room and had "future coach" written all over him.
Rathman, Solari, now Brown. Great to see the team reconnecting to the storied past and drawing on some of the outstanding resources available to us. Also good to see the emphasis on the O-line. Excellent hire.

Great news, I have another connection to my favorite team. Ray got my Jerry Rice jersey signed for me back in the day. I met RB through a friend.

I wonder just how much the niners credit lousy coaching because to invest in two good quality OL coaches implies that coaching was the problem last year. I also think it is a good long term solution if one of the coaches leaves for a better job. I have thought for a long time the niners were run like a fly by night operations run by a group of dum dums. This sort of practice is what builds great teams. Having a great staff and always keeping it up. I hope they do that with the defense and always have brainy and young assistants moving up.

Seems like a good hire. Ray Brown was a good player and seemed like a nice man.

Brown used to wear an extra layer of padding on top of his helmet to help protect against concussion. It looked like half a golden soccer ball stuck on top of his helmet.

It would be nice if he could still play.

Oh yeah, I remember that, but I think that was Steve Wallace.
