Favre missing the SB. Sending someone to the PB simply because the ppl ahead of them can't go isn't the same thing as making it on your own.

at this point I don't mind Favre going to the SB or winning it, if he were playing with the Cowboys then I will prefer for Gore and Smith to stay at home...

besides next year people will talk about our team as having lot of talent with 5 pro bowlers, no body remembers if they are alternates or not...

maybe its cause im a football fan post 2000 but i always liked the way favre played. he may be a cocky a**hle but the way the man plays and the passion he plays i dunno i love watching him play. i mean hes a 40 year old and hes running around getting hella pumped with these young kids. Plus at that age...and the season hes havin..damn. as long as he loses to the niners i like him havin success.

i mean face it hes never gonna get comparisons to Montana....that WAS Brady's job and now its Manning's.

like someone had said in another thread, with how much favruh has SCREWED the Niners in the past, I wouldn't be surprised (should the vikes make the SB and the aforementioned 49er players make the pro bowl as alts) that Gore or one or more of the sub blows a knee or some other fluke, freak injury....all because of this petty wish for a slot in a popularity contest!

yeah I feel the same way, but it will be cool if they get recognized for there hard work, like walt harris in 2007, I remember the next year every announcer that did 49ers games talk about him as a pro bowler and none of them mention he was an alternate...
