Did Vern get the All Pro Snub?

I think his stats will tell that he's the most talented TE. As far as the best, he's not there yet. He needs to show more consistency, particularly with his pass catching abilities.

I feel you on that but had he not droped a couple then he woulda smashed the record. e have only seen the begining of Vern. He will easily get that record agian next season. Until Crabs takes the reigns then Vern will still be #1 option in the pass game. The one thing Raye does know is how to use his TE.

Agree, if his hands would have been more consistent this season he would have won it easily!
I don't think the 2 guys that got it over him were a reach. They both had decent stats, too. They might no be as good at blocking as Vernon, but they are the incumbents at the position and Vernon wasnt far and away more impressive than them. If he can duplicate this years production next season, I think he'll have a good shot at it.
Davis deserves his kudos, but not too many if you ask me. I want him back even hungrier next season. Now that Sing has Davis' head screwed on straight, a little snub isn't such a bad thing; it'll only further focus his mind.
Sure decent, but since we didn't make the playoffs they did not make a big deal about it. I truly thing that we are going to be in for a show come next season.
I agree with Maiocco today when he said that VD was the best all around TE in 2009. Great receiving numbers, yards, TD's and he also is the best blocking TE in the league. With all that put together, you would think he would have made it to the ALL-PRO team. I guess you could say his down side was the drops, maybe next year.
When you consider the fact that Vernon Davis is arguably the best blocking TE in the NFL, Vernon DID get snubbed. It might not have been as big of a factor because our running game sucked this year though.

But holding the TD record for TEs should earn an All-Pro at TE.

downside was our record in our division. Same reason why Pat got the snub from Ray Ray. But hey Im glad we now have players that we can talk about all pro seriously
Vernon's just coming into his own...he had an excellent season, but it's hard to argue w/100 catches for Whitten. He's been good for quite awhile, so is deserving of the All Pro selection. If Vernon keeps up what he did this season, the honors will come.

We went 5-1 in our division. How is that a downside?
