You're not the only one. Those things are fugly. I hate how they added even more black and the white pants are nasty especially once they get dirty. Bwaaah!! To true! Or they are just young! Those Nike ones do look sweet. I would imagine they would look alot better on the feild then that illustration. I do wish we would do the silver helmets again once in awhile that would be sweet. I just don't ever wanna see those 94 uniforms ever again. I loved that season but they pissed me off everytime I saw them. Looked so cheap and tacky!

Would rather have the '62-'63 silver helmet 'cos @ least it has a logo and stripes (unlike any of the helmets from the 50's or 40's)... plain-shell helmets for throwbacks = boring.

And the whole point of throwbacks is to highlight/honor a teams past look, which can sometimes be entirely different from their current look (e.g., Green Bay, Tampa, Patriots etc.) It's a nice change of pace for a couple games a year from a team's normal unis.

I kinda like some of the new unis being shown this year by Nike and others. But I guess I'm in the minority. I really hate the OLD throwback unis. The Packers throwback uni is the worst!!!
I'd like to see some really progressive and wild looking uni designs for the Niners. New unis for a new dynasty in the 21st century!

My guess for what Nike will do:

1) Teams with a long history/legacy will get throwbacks/fauxbacks for their 3rd uni

2) Teams that are newer or have less history will get the wild designs

I debated on whether or not to post this, but I was going to start a new thread and decided best to just keep it in hear to make it stay a small "secret", as it's not announced....

I have a friend who works for the 49ers and she said they pitched the idea to the players of replacing the red with pink in their uniforms for their last Oct. Game (Breast Cancer Awareness Month). I guess they all really liked how it looked an got on board. So this is what their uni will look like vs. the Browns.

It's pretty "loud", but for just a game it'll be fun! And, we better stick it to the browns in 'em! Hope we can all support it for a game!

Silver is old & boring and not our colors. White should only be used as pinstriping.
Change everything except the logo w/ blk border.
