This thread makes me nervous. Please for the love of everything just stick with the current home and away uniforms. It's what they've worn primarily during my time as a fan going back to the '70s. The occasional old-school home (red shirt, white pants) and away (all-whites) + older helmet logo are fine every once in awhile.

a few things i don't like about the uniforms, were actually corrected in the later 90s. the pants are not gold, they are some sort of dijon mustard color. the red is also not a deep red it's a cherry red, which is fine, but i like the later 90s look.





notice the cherry red and dijon, vs the deep red and gold.
now those garcia unis they are a lil busy with the pants striping and sleeve striping, additionally there is way too much black, but the colors are better

late 90s jerseys were the worst design ever. also coincided with the unnecessary introduction of black to the uni and logo.

Agreed. Those late 90s unis weren't good. That dark red color, what was that? Almost maroon. I'll take the current red and current unis any day over those.

Cream = Prob for some kind of 1946-50's style throwback (which'll prob be worn with a plain red helmet)

this is basically making up for the 100th anniversary season in 2019, when the dumb NFL alternate jersey/helmet rules prevented most teams from honoring their past uniforms

This shade of red, the "classic" red that Montana & Lott wore, should be the one and only red ever worn again by the Niners.

Regular Home / Road Unis: ~ 14 games

1980's-style Unis (striped socks, old helmet logo): two games vs Rams

1994 throwbacks: primetime night games, @ Seattle (all whites)

1946-50's style unis: one game (Thanksgiving? Christmas?)

Why not? It's a different world today where you have professional teams in almost every league wearing all kinds of different unis. Just trying to sell, sell, sell (I'm in Sales so can relate somewhat).

If the above is true, glad to see the regular home & away unis will be worn by far the most games.

throwbacks were introduced in '94, it's not a new concept
