Would you rather move you familiy 500 miles to coach on a well established playoff team with an All-Pro return man or move your faimily 3000 miles to coach on a team that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in a decade?

Outstanding point. Plus, I think Singletary was going to hire Mac Duff anyway.

No no no...it was always Singletary's fault.

Don't try to make sense man.

April decided to take the Eagles offer after head coach Andy Reid convinced him that he wanted to make a major commitment to a talented group of special teams players, including Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who made the Pro Bowl as a receiver and a returner.

49ers lose top ST coaching candidate. RT @Adam_Schefter Eagles today announced they have named Bobby April special teams coordinator.

I'm really starting to hate the Eagle more and more, almost up there with the Cowgirls.

Why because they have an organized and efficient front office? I guess Singletary wasn't impressed. Oh well.

I hate the eagles fans. after there loss to the cowboys a girl in a romo jersey was attacked by 2 eagles fans they have no class.

How can you be sure about that? I'm pretty sure that April had several offers (possibly including from the Niners) because April mentioned that he feels blessed to have more than one option.

And plus, Linehan rejecting the position and having that get public was bad PR for the 49ers. At least the 49ers didn't get rejected publicly in this case.
F**k the eagles.

Damn the eagles keep making me hate them more and more....

What a surprise! You mean he'd rather go to a stable entrenched coach with a great front office and a team loaded with young talent? I can't beleive people thought we could land a top notch coach with our situation.

Bobby April has been on the East caost for many, many years. I don't feel that it was our situation that determined where he would be. His kids are older and he even said he would consider a relocation to the west coast but why make that move and stress out your family when you can stay on the east coast. The decision he made was, in my opinion, what was best for his family.
