This goes to show people see what they want or expect to see. Yes, he made some stupid throws like any QB, especially inexperienced ones, but certainly no worse than some of Alex's, but with almost 5 years less experience! Also remember, he's had a year to observe and learn, and will have an entire off-season and next year's camp and preseason to advance further. You guys are basing his readiness on last preseason, when while not quite ready for prime time, he still looked pretty good for a raw recruit, an as impressive as our future starters (yeah, I know, against 3rd stringers!). I still think he has more upside than any of the others and deserves a long look.

I think Sings plan is working perfectly....give Alex a shot and if he falters Davis will be ready to go. I bet Davis wins the Back-up QB position next year......WATCH. The kid is just a football player....see thats the difference between him and Alex.....He just plays... Alex has to learn to play.....Big Difference.

Now I am impressed with a Rookie QB that is spot on accurate but as I pointed out let's see that against a Philly Defense before we go out and hoist him on our shoulders as the future.

But you know how this guy could get his Reps in and better determine his future with this team?











Have HIM run the F'N Tazer instead of scrubs like Spurlock!!! Or heck we could run the Wildcat AND the Spread whenever Defenses start pinning their ears back. Oh man I'm still not happy with the Coaching decisions that happened this season.

I just get a kick out of your allegiance to Smith. I sincerely believe that Nate would beat Smith in camp if given adequate time to digest the playbookhe kid just looks better than Smith, period. Everything about the way he comands the offense is on a completely different level than Smith. Rookie or not there is more ability.

OPEN YOUR FREAKIN EYES AND LEARN TO READ. Where in there was there ANY reference to Smith?

Any allegiance I have to Smith wasn't even brought with me in this thread. So you can stuff that garbage someplace else. Hell I even tried to keep this thread on topic when several OTHERS were bringing Smith into the topic.

I stand by what I said other than the tone of the Vid.

Davis has NO time with the 1st unit against 1st and 2nd team Defensive Personnel. 10 for 15 in 3 quarters of play does not count. He's even less than a ball manager in that scenario.

He's got talent to spare. But that only gets you a ring side seat for the QB1 job. He should get an opportunity to show Sing and Raye that he is QB2. I would be sorely dissappointed in them if they don't allow him to compete for that job.

I don't know what your allegiance to a Rook QB with no significant time Under Center is, but it's gone to your brain. You must be one of those Madden Luddites that think you just plug the guy in and he can take you to the Super Bowl. Either that or you just hate Smith. In any case I didn't bring him up in my post. Not even between the lines.

A highlight clip usually shows only the best catches and TDs. I don't call a clip that shows each of his catches to be a highlight clip unless they all went for significant yardage or TDs. Maybe you do, but that's you.

No I got that part. What you're not getting is that is just CATCHES. Not the in the hands drops. Not the close drops. And not the route misques.

I know for an absolute fact that it doesn't cause this one I watched all the way through.

For instance the pass over his shoulder with the DB draped over him where he whiffed it even though it was a perfectly catchable ball and not interfered with. In the End Zone? You're telling me THAT's in there?
