As a TEAM.

Some people around here have a very hard time understanding that concept.

Not everyone here is capable of seeing beyond the surface of a problem, they lack in depth of thought.

Yeah right! Some people think TEAM is spelled SMITH.

it's not?
He is 3-4 now. Too bad, it should be the other way around but hey, a win is a win. The conversions on 3rd down at the end was huge. I am glad Sing remained confident on those plays. Alex didn't put up 250 and a couple td's but all in all we have to give him some credit. Next week at Philly is gonna be another tough game.

No, the team is 3-4 with Alex at QB, he's not 3-4.
You know what I mean. Fact is, he got a "W" and made some nice conversions at the end. Some poor passes occured but as I said, I am happy. The offensive parts we have look scary. Were young, talented, athletic and need a few more parts to get this thing really hitting on all cylinders.

GO 9ERS!
An OK performance by him. He had some good moments and some bad ones. Still, his receivers did not help him.

1 horrible pass that got picked off by Wilson, other than that a good game. Considering how we were running the ball, Alex didnt need to light it up like the last 2 weeks.

He left some plays on the field, him and Crabtree just weren't on the same page.

If we can have the 3 things go right at once (Smith, Gore, Defense), I feel that we can beat any team in this league.

That is good coaching for a change. Take what the D gives you. They were bent on stopping Alex so Gore ate them for dinner. We need more of this take what is given mentality. Alex did a great job at the end of keeping the drives going on 3rd down to run time off of the clock. Something that he has not done a good job of in the past. Even though it was not a great game. He came through when it mattered most.
Very inconsistent game for Smith tonite. The early ones I would chalk it up to nerves, but the later ones good and bad all rolled up. A little disappointed cause he could be better than that. Gore really help him and the team out late in the game.

But that D won it for us like it did in the first game
sorry...but Alex Smith isn't that great......I know alot of homers here will be offended with my comment.....

Matt Schuab, Matt Ryan > Alex Smith

we won tonight because of your DEFENSE + 7 turnovers + Gore

You are right he was very inconsistant and that is going to happen as he develops. When it mattered and we needed to work the clock, he came up big with some nice throws to move the chains. He responded which is something that he had not done well with so far.

We're more open minded to his further improvements.

Matt Schaub = proven loser so far

Matt Ryan = a bit younger than smith, has played about the same. All in all, Smith knows how to throw td's. I can definitely say that. His last 4 games: 9 tds and 3 picks with a 2-2 record. Not shabby for quite possibly the comeback player of the year.
