-My half-brother is stationed over in the UK and he's been telling me that Channel 4 (UK's sports authority, who also showed lots of love for us in the 80's and 90's) has had Issac Bruce and other 49er players on there a lot lately, covering the fundamentals of the NFL/49er history.

Cause as it actually stands right now, the 3 most popular/notable NFL teams over in the UK right now (and probably since the 80's) are the Dolphins (specially since a lot of UK royalty vacation in Miami), 49ers, and Bears.

No way a west coast team should even be in consideration for this. Just seems crazy to me. Can you imagine the effect that such a game would have on the team for the week after? Most of these athletes aren't use to international flying etc. The time change alone would take a few days to get use to.

oh man.... who remembers that preseason game we had in Japan a whiiiiiiiiile back vs the RAMS there were alot of 9er fans there.

it was probably like 17-20 years ago... I must've been like 8 years old.... I still remember it

Also, I haven't counted all the teams...but it seems we have the most "Amercian Bowl" appearances... with 8.

actually SD is further and they played there last year. Plus with Jed York being the chairman of the NFL international committee it looks like our bags are already packed.

Good point. Maybe the rule should be for a team that was at least good the year before.
