Just about every time a QB comes in and miraculously makes our OL look better than they were.
I tried searching for the old ones but I guess they go away after some time.

Although that I agree that the QB position is almost always the most important piece of the offense, let's not forget that the offense is just a 1/3 of the team, and that in some teams in the past, sub-par QBs have been successfull because of the other assets of the football game.

I would have taken your correction if it were of English origin but it's not so I won't be it incorrect or not.

Even our Backup LT, Simms, was our 3rd string RT.
As I recall, we provide good enough blocking in the TEN game, but our QB had a bad game with INTs.
If you don't get it by now, you will never get it, a QB makes an offense.
Smith didn't need 3 seconds to throw the ball for the most part against JAX, he just need to see the defense better so that he can get the ball out in the average time need, which is less than 3 seconds, which is about how long our OL blocks anyways.
Joe please go to the Raider board and make your funny post there
Good OL makes OB look good , look at Payton and Brady etc.....

Brady is not an example you want to use when it comes to a good OL. Brady came in to start behind an OL that was giving up a lot sacks to Bledsoe.
Peyton Manning gets rid of the ball before 3 seconds on almost every pass play, so that's not a good example either.
Now let us take a look at our OL and how it's looking better but has worse personnel than it did at the beginning of the year. How about last year how the OL miraculously looks better once Hill came in to play.
A QB who understands when and where to go with the ball makes the offense. A good OL will help make that offense become dominant, but a good OL with a crap QB will still give up sacks. Even a good OL with an average QB will give up sack, see Bledsoe or Kerry Collins.

The fact is to make any QB look bad you put pressure on him. Nobody is saying that Alex Smith is a good QB yet but the fact is the line hasn't given him opportunities to make mistakes on his own. Every QB has bad games, but if you can play QB without worrying about the line then you will become a much better decision maker.
