Duh. What's with the stupid questions? Cut it out already.
Are you saying Brit Miller is our best offensive weapon? I don't understand your point here?
The question is Frank Gore still our best offensive weapon? Which is basically like asking is 2+2=4?
Really because you can make an argument for Davis by looking at his TDs, or Crabtree by looking at his clutch 3rd down catches, Gores rushing numbers are not that impressive, I mean don't flame me out here I like Gore but things are changing more guys are getting involved through Alex's improved play, and I am curios plenty of people have called for Gore to be traded, I mean I can see the value in trading him as well as the value in keeping him so I was just taking a pulse!
Let's see Baas and Rachel have sucked this year and there's been too many games where Gore hasn't got his 20 plus touches, DUH his numbers aren't where they should be. Come on be real, he is our franchise guy rite now on the offensive side of the ball.
Alright, here it is then, 4th down a long three to to the goal line last play of the game win you are in the play offs lose you go home. Do you give it Gore, throw it to Davis or Crabtree, or let Alex take the naked boot leg?
Who gets the rock when it is nut cuttin time!
Wow so favre is more important than AP and Hutch cuz you dont run on 4th and long, give me a freaking break!
Okay, make 4th and 2!
Crabtree will fight with Davis for being our best weapon going forward
Right now here's how they stand:
Vernon Davis--670 yards, 9 TDs
Michael Crabtree--346 yards, 1 TD
This with Crabtree mising 4 games. I expect Crabtree to end up with around 700 yards on the season and Davis around 800.
Gore can still break a 1000 yards rushing this year too. He needs 357 more yards and we've got Seattle, St. Louis and Detroit left. If he breaks 1000 then that will be 4 years in a row with 1000 or more yards.

gore is the 2nd best player on our team. he opens up our passing game. if we had at least a decent o-line, he would be a pro bowler year in and year out

That's the great thing about our O now minus the QB of course, we have options, but don't be nutz and go away from our obviously best offensive player.

my point maybe not best suited for this question. but as of right now i have to go with smith. that's ONLY cause if smiths' not doing his job then our other weapons can't do theirs job, spread or no spread.

Does it really matter (or can it even really be measured) who the "best" offensive weapon is? Though Jerry Rice was obviously our best weapon in the glory years, did that take anything away from Craig, Taylor or any of the other guys destroying the other team. None of these guys can compare to JR or is even so significantly better than the others that there's really no need to even discuss this.
They play different positions, complement each other and free each other up by drawing the defense. The offense then goes with the guy who's getting open or who has the biggest advantage against the defensive scheme. One game that'll be Gore and the next it might be Davis, Crabtree or Morgan. I'd hope that any of these guys can be our top weapon on any given Sunday.

Give gore a line that can actually block and move the pile and gore will have his way with 8-9 in the box...

Gore is unquestionably our best offensive weapon. Davis has really emerged this year, but anyone watching our games should be able to recognize Gore's singular talent....he is truly special, and If you polled players in the NFL they would say the same. Davis is talented as well, but Gore literally manufactures yardage out of thin air and that is hard to do.

Gore isn't the only one anymore. V. Davis and the rest of the pass catchers are slowly getting defense to take notice. About damn time too. We have been saying the receivers need to step up to stretch the field for Frank since his second year here.

Right now its still Gore because he can break one at any point and teams gameplan around him. BUT Davis is our BEST passing option right now and if we get better next year i think he and crabs along with gore will be a the best weapons we have.

No but that's a good thing. Running the Spread makes EVERYONE equal.
No longer can teams continue to go after Frank and pin their ears back with 8-9 men in the box to take away the Run and in tern create a Pass Rush at the same time.
They HAVE to cover everyone or they WILL get burnt. And they know it.
