I'm not sure it's lost faith...the man speaks the right words and I firmly believe his heart's in the right places. I'm just not sure he's got enough coaching smarts to turn this team around. On another post I replied to us being a team in transition...which I'm tired of. Other franchises have turned themselves around a lot quicker than what we're going through....which is why I'm advocating for a total housecleaning...GM, head coach, all of it. I believe a head coach like Shanahan could get us back to the playoffs sooner rather than later. He's got the experience, knowledge, and the offensive mindset that's clearly missing from the current regime. He'd draft better players, hire better coaches and get our team back where they belong, in the post-season.
What did he do after Elway and Plummer left? Nothing. Basically the same record as us 7-9 or 8-8. It all starts with the QB, if we had a franchise QB we wouldn't be losing four straight games.
Look at Mike Tomlin, everyone thinks he is a great coach..he probably is but anyone can look great with the amount of talent he has. I bet if he had to coach the Browns he wouldn't look so great either. Sing needs time with this team, we need to see who he drafts and how he handles this team. Almost every player on this team is part of the Nolan era.
