Take this all with a very large grain of salt. The reason he alludes to at the end of his article is because Nate Davis Ethnicity. The same reason he predicted Nate Davis would be the best QB out of college.
Jason Whitlock became famous playing the race card and does it often and most times inappropriately. My brother is a huge KC fan, lives in KC, and he has been sending me this clowns garbage for years.
With that said Nate Davis is looking like he could be a very solid QB in this league and I am very excited he is on our roster. But we will have to wait and see how he handles an offense when the other team is game planning against him before we get to ahead of ourselves. Go slow with the young man.

I would love for Davis to emerge at the end of the season as our future QB. It seems like he has all the tools. Not only that, but we would be able to use the 2 first rounders to bolster our pass rush, OL, or WR depending on the Crabtree situation.

J Whitlock is a "hit or miss" columnist.
His "hit" articles are fcukin hilarious:
Pitino ran into the biggest dynasty in sports
This is why athletes should never marry
But the "miss" articles really drive you to say "WTF was that?"

If Whitlock has actually followed Nate through his college days then I'd agree Whitlock should know know what he's talking about. So many speak of Davis without having a clue.
I'm sure there are quite a few other QBs from Whitlock's school. He didn't support those other QBs through the years. Nate Davis is the shining star.
WTF...let that developing star shine bright.

Dont care what he says, he is a moron some of the worst articles ive read about football or sports has been by this moron.
He thinks Jeff George can still play in the NFL today
I do like Nate Davis tho, and we should let him sit this year and learn the game and next year let him compete for playing time
Smartest thing to do I have heard re: NDavis!

Look, if the sports world didn't operate under the control of a sports-media dictatorship, I wouldn't have to provide you the context. A powerful, unbiased, independent journalist would've traveled to Ball State during the summer and talked with the man who recruited Tom Brady to Michigan (Brady Hoke) and the man who coached Tom Brady at Michigan (Ball State offensive coordinator Stan Parrish).
Hoke and Parrish can put Nate Davis in context more effectively than I can.
Nate Davis has the tools to be better than Tom Brady. Hoke and Parrish will tell you that, and they absolutely adore Tom Brady.

I believe philosophically that Nate should have ome time to build his skills but he is not getting overwhelmed from what I saw and I want him to play for a damn good reason. I love watching him play. I think that is a good enough reason to want to play him some. I do think that is loading too much pressure on him, not that he could not handle it. I think he might be able to be the wide guy in our dull razor err puttytat offense. I think he would be the perfect choice to get the ball deep. I get the impression that Josh Morgan is going to play a vital part in this game as I think his blocking is going to rip the vikings like the Seahawks and I think we are going to see some variations of that on wide pitches to Gore especially if they start pinching in to stop the inside runs. I find it funny that some people thought Gore was too slow to run outside. I think the vikings defense may have some problems as the niners have some massive dudes on the OL and I think they could move the vikings around and it won't be pretty if Gore gets loose. What we saw on the Raiders like the running and pass defense are showing up in season games, just sort of spotty but experience should even it out and the physical capability to take it out on the vikings etc is there IMO.
