He will lose to much money if he sits out till next year. He's not dumb enough to do that. Atleast I think he isn't.
I think we might all be surprised.
I agree with you on that. Some of us might be surprised about what he is willing to do.
I think Crabtree has visions of playing for the Cowboys.
After hearing about a training camp nicknamed "Junction Boy's 2."
After seeing preseason games where we put poor numbers for our receivers.
After seeing Tony Romo's accuracy and play making ability.
After seeing the Cowboys new stadium and hearing about our old one.
He's thinking "Man, I would look good in a Cowboy's uniform. I would put up bigger numbers, have more endorsements. All I have to do is wait a year."
He has several connections to the Cowboys, and yes its against league rules, but seriously how are they going to stop him from talking to Cowboys team insiders like Deion Sanders, Irvin, etc. And who can stop those insiders from talking to decision makers in the front office?
And you know what? Who can blame him for thinking it?
But seriously, he's probably thinking that any team that picks him next year, will give him better numbers than this team.
A year long holdout would be less than surprising at this point.
you think a grown man would sit out a whole season just so he could play for his favorite team? ......................... sounds plausible. At this point who knows whats going on in this guys head.
Only problem is that crabs is not a grown man.

It'd be a shame if we couldn't get him signed. I want him on the team too. Get'er done.

Yeah, we're making a stand!
Here's a novel idea for McCloughan and company. How about making this a quality franchise so players won't be able to hold us up in the future like Crabtree is attempting to do now. Let's make this an exciting destination for players to go to. Crabtree has every right to do what he is doing. Is it any wonder that the two longest hold-outs belonged to the Bengals and us? It's the company we keep that puts us in the situation we are currently in. Crabtree should have been in four weeks ago catching passes in a Mike Shanahan offense.
Yeah because if Andre Smith was drafted by the Pats he wouldve magically been the first rookie to sign. this has nothing to do with the franchis and has everything to do with the players and the lack of a rookie cap. It doesnt matter who the coach is here he wouldnt be in camp and signed. Shanahan aint coming here and is a better OC then HC so get off his...

Actually The Andre Smith holdout had everything to do with the Bengals not wanting to honor the slotting process. Unlike our situation where its the player, Crabtree who doesn't want to get paid in his slot.

It hurts my fandom so bad that we don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick from last year's draft. I want to cry. I'm losing it.
This whole situation makes me a sad panda.

What are you talking about. We picked Glen Coffee out of Alabama with the 10th pick and then followed that up in the 2nd round with a real nice QB we can develop out of Ball St named Nate Davis. Where have you been?

Even if we sign him he is lost for the season as far as being an impact.
I lost patience with him and his agent. I dont wish this on any team, hold tight Niners

Go ahead and try to convince yourself that both who and what we are has nothing to do with this . I'm telling you that he wouldn't be doing the Patriots like this. That is a desirable place to go. Future riches could be had from a stay as a Patriot. What do we have to offer right now other than a slotted contract? I know, the chance to motivated by Sing! .
Listen, ugly dudes do not get the hot chick without having lots of cash. They have to pay a premium that others would not necessarily have to. Crabtree is like the hot chick. Does the diva reference ring a bell? He is making us pay a premium to be seen with us. It is what it is. The only way to combat this in the future is step our game up. If we become desirable to get with, then price isn't going to be so damn high the next time. We will be the ones playing, instead of the ones getting played.
Pay the dude and end the drama. It's our own damn fault for letting our standards drop so low in the first place.

While this is something I don't know much about , a hot chick always makes the ugly dude look better. In other words, the better player makes the team better as well. It goes both ways.
