b!tch i said 6 inch not foot long, get back there and do it again.

It's more like...

B!tch, I ordered a foot-long and this is what you give me... Don't you know who I am? When I order a foot-long that sandwich better be at least 24 inches...
Just watch. We'll come out of this season 8-8, with a top 10 draft pick from Carolina.

Everyone will forget about this little punk, and he can squander his career somewhere else.
I think this may last a few more weeks, but I still think he's gonna sign.

Bottom line to me, the team is saying NOTHING negative about the player or agent because they know he'll eventually sign.

The player and agent are saying nothing publicaly because they know whey will eventually sign.

ALL of the info we have heard has come form other people.

This is gonna get done. Its just a matter of time.
We sent the best message to him that we could yesterday (a win without him around).

Go Niners!

I really think we will end up trading the rights to Crabtree. He will not enter the 2010 draft. An offer will most likely come from a team in the bottom part of the first round. Ultimately, having 3 first rounders could be huge for us if we draft properly. All in all, I hope Scotty is on his way out after this year. I think this Crabtree issue will empower Jed York to send Scotty packing.

Crabs and his agent had some negotiating power for about two weeks this offseason, now, he is pretty much at the will of how the 2009 NFL Season plays out.

So tell me again why it's Scot's fault that Crabtree is still holding out? Crabtree was a top 5 player in the last draft that fell to #10 due to injury and not performing in the combine. We picked the best player on the 49er board that got everyone excited. No one would have ever thought Crabtree was going to hold out. If I was the GM and the top wide receiver in the draft fell to our spot, I would've selected him.

I think Scot drafted how he had to in this year's draft. I don't think what has happened with Crabs was Scot's fault. That comment was more about his overall performance since coming here and that sometimes, there is a catalyst for change and I think this Crabtree thing could be that catalyst. Or Alex Smith.

Yeah, who the f**k is this guy?

I could be wrong but I think he played cornerback for us the last time we won the superbowl and then went to Dallas and won a couple more super bowls. Nowadays I think you can find him securely attached to Jerry Jones nutsack where he goes down on him nightly.

I agree with you 100%. The bridges have not yet been burnt. We need to get him into the team so that Willis, VD, Gore & company can whip him into shape.

When he does sign, Crabtree better not come into practice with a big head. The 49ers are going to have to cut a WR that has been working their butt off since training camp. He will have a long way to go to earn the respect of his new teammates.

Wait, didn't he just reiterate that he was going to be sitting out the season and re-enter next years draft? Right after we defeated the cards? He was probably praying that we would lose the game and it ticked him off when we pulled off the upset without him.

IMO he is definitely going have trouble fitting in. It may take an entire offseason for the rest of the team to accept him. I hope it works out, I hate to see us waste a #10 pick w/o him even having a chance to prove what he's worth. I applaud the way the organization has handled the entire Michael Cashtree situation. Hope its over soon, either way I don't think he will help the team this year. Lucky for us we have Josh Morgan to play his spot in the lineup. I love me some Josh Morgan.
when has michael crabtree EVER said he was going to sit out the season? we're just getting reports from "sources".

schefter has his sources, mm has sources, PFT has sources, and they ALL seem to be saying different things.

until we hit week 10 with no contract or until we hear it from crabcakes mouth then i have to believe a deal will get done

just got off the phone with my sources and they confirmed to me that Crabtree will sign during our bye week so he can play in home state of texas against the Texans.

Good point on the "sources". As it stands right now, Crabtree is on the verge of losing millions of $ if he does indeed enter the draft and is chosen after the #10 pick. The "sources" could very well be Crabtree's last ditch efforts in building leverage against the 49ers. Hopefully the 49ers will not blink.
