I could care less if we have to overpay to get hm....Crabtree is one of the best players in the draft and we need to take advantage of it.

If our passing offense is horrible it will because of our O-line or our QB play.
CRABTREE WILL BE SIGNED BEFORE SUNDAY. This was the plan all along to wait until the last day.

He was really dissapointed about the offer. He thinks he's worth more. He said screw it, I'll just wait until the last day. He's still going to get guaranteed money. He'll get the same amount of money if he signed weeks ago or if he signs Saturday. This way it will keep people guessing for a long time, and he thought there was a slim chance they'd up the offer if he waited it out. And since he thinks he's going to be underpaid, he doesn't care that he's missing practice and he won't be a factor for a couple of games. Hell, he'll get his money. He thinks he's "punishing" the 49ers by sitting out now, because he thinks he is getting low-balled.

This all of course is my own personal opinion.

Yup. They will also be wearing his jersey proudly and hoping that no one ever remembers how they wanted to trade him.

The mods truly need to protect this thread so we can serve up a huge pile of crow.

Like I said earlier ATG, remember when they would say the Yorks are cheap ? Now all of a sudden so many don't want us to pay, because they know it will affect us with future draft picks. I mean look how much it hurt Cleveland to overpay Quinn....oh wait it didn't hurt Cleveland at all.

Overpay for a rookie who is going to be less valuable then Jason Hill this year. I think not!

Hey! I thought you were banned a long time ago. Been layin low?

You may be right. Personally, I wouldn't want a guy like that on my team, but it isn't my team. I'm just a fan... just not a fan of Crabtree anymore.

Brady is a QB which means he is more valuable than a WR. But I do agree with you about a lot of people eating crow. Including Crabtree when he signs the contract the niners offered him in the summer

QBs seem to be an exception. MM mentioned this a while back.

Yes, the disclaimer was wise and warranted.

Yep because the almost retired Isaac Bruce, the gimpy Razzle Dazzle Arnaz Battle and the young inconsistent 6th round pick Josh Morgan is definitely enough for now and years to come.

Don't even pretend this is good enough...we need a stud #1 WR in our offense especially once Bruce is done for good and Arnaz Battle gets older and older and more and more injury prone.

Just pay Crabtree.

That's meaningless really. The value of position means little compared to where you grade out vs the rest of the draft class. Quinn was a top 10 player in that draft class but Crabtree was a top 3 talent hands down.

Sounds good. Now sign the contract & get to work please.

I think Crabtree also called Dilfer up so he could get used to the way Shaun Hill throws the ball. Here's to hoping the call happens soon.

Dilfer actually has above average arm strength.

I was thinking that way this whole time, but now i would rather be upset with him on the field then off.

Not to mention he is a god awful QB, and how he stayed in the NFL as long as he did still boggles my mind..
If crab signs before sunday it will be because this thread reaches 200 pages. keep posting people!
