When is he a dominant CB?

He might as well move over now

He should be moved now because he really can't cover anymore.
What a joke. He's still our best cover guy right now.

I thought he looked bad because of our poor play at safety and our lack of a pass rush but it seems the other CBs are holding their own. I hope he just has "tired legs" for real otherwise I wouldn't mind seeing him back at safety with Goldston and have Bly and Brown as our starting CBs with Spencer as a nickelback. The only problem is we wouldn't have any depth
I love the idea of him playing safety!!! Especially if Spencer is back to 100% health and Brown continues to improve.
he's been playing so far off, I thought he already moved to Safety.
I dont know if you guys noticed but it seemed like Romo was picking on Clements. He looks slow, sloppy, and over-weight. I know he's a leader but he needs to do better for the money he's getting.

It's preseason guys! How about we put a pin in this one and re-visit in a month?? It is a legit argument if he looks like that during regular season, but not yet.

This is very true

Mother f**ker needs to play closer to the receiver

I think Bly looks better than Clements to be honest. I know Bly is playing for a spot but Clements didnt look too impressive last year (i.e. T.O). I know he's a good tackler and a good leader but seems to get smoke too often. He was backing up 15yds on Cowboys Ogletree...please.
Maybe we should base these assessments on actualy games, and not preseason. Nate is a vet, he doesn't need to get up at the LoS and bang with WRs in preseason play.
It did look like Clements was sucking wind during the Cowboys game. You'd think his cardio conditioning would be off the charts after the camp he just went through. Hopefully he just needs to rest. Maybe he's struggling to cover becasue his legs really are tired?? Hopefully our starters will get lots of rest in the next two weeks and we'll see them in top form for the opener

Look at last years games, he never plays up on the receivers, he is always like 10 freaking yards back

Yup. I recorder the game and he looks like he has a beer belly. Bly and Brown look more in shape than Clements. I think if he loses some weight he would be a lot better.
