Get a professional mediator. The good news is both sides are still talking to each other, and for the most part not negotiating in the press. A skilled mediator would find a way for both sides to come out of it saving face, without a winner or a loser. There are some very sharp mediators out there.

I think a deal that would benefit both sides would be....to use the slotting system, however have a bonus designed so that if after the 3rd year in his contract he is outperforming DHB he it would trigger about 8 million....which is said to be the difference in the 2 contracts...
