Yes, but establishing the run would have helped the passing game in the pro-style offense. Gore and our interior linemen failed to do that yet again.

Aside from a few long runs by Gore the 9ers haven't been able to establish the run all year.

Agreed, replay showed that VD was wide open and didn't haul it in. That pass was on target.

Focusing on one single play is overlooking the big picture...alex touches the ball more than anyother player...everything is funneled through him...he gets the credit and the blame for a win or loss...and once again he led us to ANOTHER loss.

Lets be honest. This team has a bunch of guys who are backups at best, playing in key positions. Warriors, Giants, 49ers. All teams who need to learn that in today's sports landscape, you must spend wise money to compete and get those back ups into their proper place on the team and that is backing up the star players. There is an accountability star players have that these roster fillers dont.

Until we start throwing the money around, we'll keep singing this same sad song about guys not tackling, guys not catching, etc. We've had some good pieces brought in by the draft, but the more we keep combing the waiver wire to fill our team, the more we will keep feeling like this after the games are played.

That's part of the game...he needs to overcome those things...especially when the D only gives up 17. I mean we are now running "his" O just so he can function like a normal QB...so what's the excuse for only 14 points in 4 quarters of Football...

Yeah damn alex giving the ball to gore to fumble and making battle and jones have a boneheaded fumble too.

He looked perfectly fine driving down the field from his 1 to the 40 yard line before Frank Gore fumbled the ball.

You were right about that, but his damn receivers can't make a play. That long pass to Morgan was a perfect example of that. Morgan just gave up. The game is on the line, you should at least run your route out. You never know what could happen.

I don't blame Frank, but his fumble did not help either.

But AGAIN when your intend target gets MUGGED in the End Zone and the Ref that's right there is daydreaming instead of throwin a flag, that $4|T is gonna hurt ya EVERY time.

We got Shafted and y'all know it. So why even start playin the blame game with our guys. Sing TRIED to get the Refs to perform emergency rectal craniotomies on themselves but no dice. They like being mushrooms.

Smith passed the ball into the hands of receivers who dropped it. VD dropped a go ahead TD pass and you blame Smith?

Receivers like VD not catching a ball that hit him in the facemask is VD's fault, Alex was on the money most of the game.

However, despite VD and Franks hands, Alex had an opportunity to pick them up, as well as the defense. He could have made this his best game by carrying the entire team to a win during the final drive. Instead he overthrows Hill who was wide open on the left and overthrows Morgan who's in double coverage. The DB should have caught that pass that hit him in the chest, but maybe that's the reason he's a DB. Alex didn't cost us the game, but he didn't get the win either. He let an opportunity go by.
