Last week, I think had more to do with the comms on the line, coupled with the return of Snyder who had missed some time in the preseason, more than anything. I think we are going to see improvement this week. I base that on being pretty sure Sing ain't gonna let that s**t happen again, even if it means scaling some s**t back, and/or putting Snyder on the bench. Nothing is going to piss him off more than "getting our tails whipped" which is how he explained the o-lines performance last week. He don't like that s**t, it eats him to the bone, goes against everything that he is about, and he take's it personally (IMHO). I think the left side will be alright against you guys. I think Heitmann can probably handle Cole, alone most of the time, and I also think there is a good possibility Rachel and Heitmann will be able to push him off the line quite a bit when we run. It would not shock me in the least if Sing runs right at him and he wins that one, and eats you guys up right there. I know that is where I would be "probing for a weak spot" to start with. The big question is going to be Rachel's pass protection and run blocking with Mebane in the picture. IMHO.
Good to know man thanks. I just read something you may be interested in. Apparently mebane might not play. He sat out practice the last few days with a calf injury. Red bryant might be taking his spot.

If he doesn't play, I think that's going to be a big hit on your pass rush. Bryant will do OK against the run, but he does cause near the trouble that Mebane does on passing downs.

What did they base picking us to win on?

VD being the focus on offense, our pass rush and the Patrick Willis factor. Aggressive defense and keeping the cards out of rhythm is also a plus for us. The only thing good they had to say about seattle was the fact that Hasslbeck is healthy and playing well.
If our pass rush shows up in this game, I wonder how healthy Matt Hasslebeck will be by games end.

Unfortunately Walter Jones is probably going to play, but that's alright. Their C is out right? I think we can mess their OLine up pretty good
they picked us to win?

they said they think Matt Hasselbeck is going to do well against our defense.
HA, you obviously don't know Walter Jones. The man doesn't get "rusty". If he's on the field, he's frustrating enemy players - you can count on that more than you can count your five rusty Super Bowl rings. Has salt water air dissolved them yet?

You missed what my point on that was. Walter is not the worry there. The worry is switching the other guys around on gameday. They could move lock to RT and bump willis out or they have talked about putting lock at RG and benching unger so he could back up the C and RG position if need be. I think there are too many decisions that have not been made about what the line will look like once walter comes back and gameday warmups is not the time to make that decision. They need a week of practice first. The hawks were able to prevent the rams from getting a single sack last week and the run game showed signs of life. I really don't want to mess with their mojo unitl tuesday practice.

Brandon Moore made him his b***h... if Moore can do that then i'm confident our DE's and OLB can handle him.

I dont think Jones is the same player he was when Shaun and Hutchinson were playing for the hawks.

Mebane has been developing into a stud for us. It would definately suck if he wasn't in there. From a pass rushing standpoint I wonder if they wouldn't try to unleash some of that lightening in a bottle nick reed was showing in the preseason. He led the league is sacks in the preseason. Off course that was from a DE position. Not DT. Just a random thought there.

There's a reason Reed isn't in your starting lineup, I hope you guys do exactly what your proposing. I'll tell you what, you guys do that, and we will start Nate Davis, just to make it fair for you...even the odds up for you.

Thank you for the mercy sir. But thats why I chalked it up to a random thought. I don't know what type of impact that guy would have. If any.
I really think we should/will beat Seattle. They are banged up, we got them at home and it would really put us in solid shape starting the season 2-0 and beating the two top NFC west teams.
Ok, what happened to my post on Page 40?
Reed won't start but he might sub in on occasion.
