Yes, this isn't even debatable.

i think the players on offense as a whole would love johnson to call plays...it looks like smith really trusts johnson..i.e. expressing his frustrations to him after a drive stalls or a play fails... and johnson constantly tries to encourage smith...i.e. telling him to hang in there today!

It won't make a difference. A suck team can't perform the plays anyway.

If Sing wish's to keep his job he needs to let Mike Johnson take over play calling and tell him to be creative rather then putting a leash on him.

Sing might have to go in order for this to happen. If that were the case who would be head coach? Is Manusky ready? If he's not could Jed York try and "force" Singletary to make a change?

Jed York could fire Jimmy Raye at any time, and Sing's ass would just have to deal with it.

If York was smart he would be havinga one on one with Singletary right about now. Let Sing know "Raye is not the answer, we need a big change somewhere and it's looking like Raye is it.
You don't want to go down with him do you? If you don't make some changes, the team is likely not going to improve, and then it will be on you, as well as Raye too."
If Sing was smart, he would realize his career is about ready to go down the tubes unless he does something about his OC/offense.

Jed has let Sing do pretty much whatever he wants from day one. Singletary has always had issues with the Offensive Coordinator position; his clash with Mike Martz lasted till the moment Martz was shown the door. A never-ending search for a new Coordinator saw Singletary get rejected by Scott Linenan (who promptly thereafter signed with the winless Lions.), before signing Jimmy Raye and underwhelming decision to say the least.
And even through that York has always backed up Singletary 100%. If this 0-3 start has York questioning his faith in Singletary (and it should) what kind of fallout could there be?

QB Coach Mike Johnson takes over coordinator duties from Jimmy Raye, who had received a vote of confidence from Singletary Sunday.

After Week 1 I said it was time to fire Jimmy Raye. We shouldn't have waited this long. Oh well, it is time to hope for the best at this point.

Didnt MM report that Mike Johnson creates has been creating his own gameplans week to week? I remember reading that.
I'm sure he at least knows there are weapons in this offense!
