Well considering Johnson was hired before Raye I personally think Singletary's intention was for Johnson to eventually take over as OC anyhow.

I think Raye was brought in as the guy to install the system Singletary wants to run as Johnson was being groomed to take over.

So my belief is Singletary would rather wait till the offseason to make that move but I think he'll go to Johnson mid season if it's obvious that Raye isn't working out.

As much criticism as Singletary gets and mostly rightly so he's not completely stubborn and will make changes if he feels he needs to.

I thought it was interesting when they reported from the sideline Smith came over and was perplexed by we were calling run plays. And Johnson said, "Just hang in there".

when you have players from other teams feel sad for you then you know your team is in a horrible situation

Johnson is the QB coach not a player.

I missed that because I was at the bar. It sounds like Singletary is the only guy who still believes in Raye.

I'm pretty sure Johnson was the rat after week 1 too.

Meh, I dont care who the rat is. The rat has been right about Raye. Until he is gone, then the offense will remain dismal; and the longer Singletary stands up for him, Singletary is going to be under fire. 49er fans have never been patient, but they are starting to get rabid because this team has more talent than at least half the league, but they constantly play below their competition. It is a sad day when your team was supposed to take the division with ease, but now are being compared to the Lions, Rams, and Browns. This is 2007 all over again.

Cosigned. I dont even see why we call it a rat? So WTF is he supposed to do, watch Raye f**k up repeatedly and not say anything? Screw that. If there's a problem be honest and open about it and get it f**king dealt with. But Sing is such a delusional idiot he'll stick with Raye and watch him sink our entire season. Forget Mike Johnson as OC, make him the HC, I am so friggin done with Sing and Raye it's ridiculous.
Time for Damon Bruce. He is ripping Singletary and his staff.

Vick is not the answer...this team needs an actual passer at QB to be successful.

Niners offense is 2 yard swing passes to gore.
2nd and 25, Raye calls a run up the middle.

Guys I share your frustration however, the bottom line is WE WERE OUTCLASSED TODAY THROUGH AND THROUGH. Yes, there were some miscues but we never looked like we were in control like we were the first couple of series in Seattle. Great game plan by SUPERBOWL WINNING COORDINATORS! we have great potential in Manusky, Raye that;s another story. I think it is high time we start to spread teams out and utilize the weapons that we have. Like the announcers said, if we have 10 plus yards to go on third down, we are in trouble. Coach Singletary needs to lighten up on this pound it philosophy and just get some wins by whatever means necessary.

The OLINE disappointed greatly today. This loss is mainly on them today. everyone says we go as Alex goes, NOT SO GUYS! We go as the OLINE goes becasue we are a predominately run team. Frank is the type of back that looks really bad if the OLINE cannot open lanes for him. He is not a Barry Saunders type runner. Rookie (Davis) today really laid an egg. I won't chew him out he is still learning. Bottom line guys, if we cannot get a win within the next two games, look for drastic changes come offseason.
Mike Johnsoncl couldn't ddo any worse. At this point, the only thing worse is getting shutout, which we aren't that far from anyway. On another note, if Alex were to take it upon himself and start calling plays when he KNOWS the playcall coming in is ridiculous, I wonder what would happen? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would make that kind of call, but it would be nice to see him and the players take control. I'm sure they know they are too talented for this mess.
