And then it will just piss our guys off even more along with Singletary and Singletary will unleash Gore and Willis.
It sounds like the D has finally got going today against the Raiders.

Go 9ers

I agree but from what I remember reading and seeing (they had some vids up of the scrimmages last year) we weren't dominating the Raiders and if anything it was just about a wash and it some instances the Raiders were looking better than us.

That's exactly the way I remember it, too. Big difference this year.

Gee, I wonder if that Singletary guy has made much of a difference.
The defense seems to be gelling well together so far. Like one of the Matts stated they have Swaggar! now if the offense can follow LOOK OUT!!

Go 9ers

Yeah but it just shows how hard we have been practicing. We thought we were practicing with a good tempo with Nolan but there wasn't anything special in our Raiders scrimmage last year. This year, Singletaries intesity is displayed.

They are showing Ronnie Lott type of practing.

plus if we are really better than the raiders, shouldn't we be beating their heads in anyway?

Don't diminish the positive signs, but as valrod is saying, dont get extremely excited either.

Everybody had success in these practices agasint the Raiders...oh wait...Alex, is that you?

Give our money back!!!

For a guy who started the now infamous JTO EXPRESS thread at this time last year, you're pretty cocky. One thing to criticise our backup QB (probably), something else to demand "our" money back.

At least A. Smith didn't throw three Ints this morning. Lighten up, bro.

Even better, at least Alex Smith didn't declar JTO the savior of the 49er franchise like a certain Smith hater. But then again that just shows what that poster really knows about the QB position and football

I'm real pumped after reading about the defense this morning. If this carries over to Saturday I will thrilled. If it carries into the season, ecstatic!

Smith got beat out by JTO. If Hill was allowed to play in preseason, then Nolan would have had a tougher decision. It's not like JTO didn't have the talent to make ALL of the throws...cough...cough, the only reason people are giving for Alex. JTO was in a very high risk system that got dumbed down when Hill played. Even then, no one could have predicted that his hands could possibly be smaller than Alex Smith's hands. Go figure.

you're a disgrace as a fan. Poster above me is correct. You'd root for Smith to fail just so you can say I told you so.

The qb competition last year was a joke. So was the fact that Smith was pushed to play when his shoulder never healed properly.

What kind of fan roots for a player to fail?

Whoa. I'm just saying lets root for the team in Red & Gold and lighten up on the attacks on our own players.

Singletary seems to have a feel for this HCing stuff, and I'm happy, so far, with his work. Let's let him decide who the QB starter is and what role A. Smith will have.

It was a great morning practice for the Niners--let's focus on that and ease off the attacks on team members (and fellow board members), that's all I'm saying.

Exactly I would love to see this swagger & aggressive defense in week 1 against the Cardinals!
