Levi's Stadium pics and info...

The problem from the heat is only an issue for the first few weeks of the year. Even then it may not be every game. I've said this before but how do other fans at stadiums in other cities handle it. Levis isn't the only place where it gets hot in September and early October. It would take a major renovation to allow them to put a covering over that side of the stadium because of the height issue.

I've state dbefore that I've never been there for a game but I went to over 300nat the Stick. It wasn't a comfortable place for many people. People on one side often had sun in there face. Getting in and out was a pain. Concessions were bad. Restrooms were terrible.

We still filled the stadium for all those years.

It probably does get overblown. When a team builds a new stadium they have to consider costs, location and the fan experience. At Levis, they have nice site lines and great concessions. They have several bars for the fans to enjoy if it gets too hot. TVs everywhere. It's not perfect but every stadium has it's quirks. Billionaires are all trying to build a better stadium than everyone else has. It's like an arms race. You can't just tear your stadium down because someone builds a nicer one.

Been to Levi's many times and have sat directly in the sun on very hot, late-summer days in Sept. It's a very good stadium and overall experience watching Niners football.

This is all correct. I especially like the comment about nobody goes to look at the outside stadium. Site lines and access are what counts. All the conveniences like access to bars, TVs, concessions, etc. just add to the experience. Levis has all of those. Great museum located on the same site. The stadium was built 12 years ago which means it was designed about 14 years ago. I'm sure newer stadiums have some things Levis doesn't but they can't keep remodling or buildinga new stadium just to keep up with other teams. If they had been able to build in an area with more space away from the airport they probably could have included a cover for the fans.

Watching the World Cup these past few weeks and seeing all those Beautiful statiums... they just did a fly by of Levi's in the evening, when it's empty... and my GOD I've never seen it look so janky...

Luckily it looks much better during night games, but the US Bosnia game starts at 5pm..and sun is still going to be out the whole game lol.

I'm sure it's going to look better when it will be packed as well... so we'll see.

Yep, gorgeous. That's how NFL stadiums should be designed, and large enough to host world cup soccer games. Vegas f**ked that up lol

I get that the spaceship circle semi-dome is the new hot chick on the stadium block, but I frankly prefer the older contemporary modern look that Levi's has, with the classical "campus" aesthetic. YMMV
