It's a discount stadium. Like everything else the Yorks do. And BTW they have been talking about this for a decade. Still no broken ground, no financing and no final location.

Don't hold your breath on seeing that in your liftime. Pretty pictures though.

Discount? The proposed as shown is estimated at $916 million.

Cowboy's Stadium was $1.3 billion, features a dome and can be expanded by 40k seats.

New Meadowlands Stadium was 1.6 billion and is shared by two organizations.

And a decade? If you're talking about Santa Clara, it's been one year.

If you're talking about Hunters Point, its been four years.

Anything prior to 2006 was posturing from the city of San Francisco in an attempt to win an Olympic bid.

~ They talked about more than Santa Clara.
~ Yorks have talked about a new stadium since they owned the team. Around a decade.
~ Still no stadium. Do you see one?

I don't agree with this guy as far as the cost of the stadium being cheap, but he
has a point about the Yorks "talking" about a new stadium and not building one.

Dome? lol Bracus, I dont know where you're from but Santa Clara has some of the best weather in all of CA, the only place I can think of is maybe SD and a few parts in SoCal that has better weather in this state.

A dome is a waste of money, 80's in the preseason and 60's in Dec... doesnt get much better than that.

I like the idea of a dome. Plus a video board from 20 to 20. And the whole field that is grass and comes in on rollers from the outside.

BUT WHY???? this is not Arizona, there is absolutely NO reason to have any of that

except for the video... I would support that

Why would you want our beloved 49ers to play in that s**thole they've drawn up for Santa Clara when they could be playing here ?

Second-largest market in the country. Just imagine the media exposure the Los Angeles 49ers would get. Certainly a lot more than the San Francisco 49ers or Santa Clara 49ers will ever get!

Of course, if I say this then I'm not a "real fan". SanDiego49er knows what I'm talking about.

f**k LA and its lazy fan base

the only people that would consistently show up are the handful of LA fans on here. everybody else would show up in the 2nd and leave in the 3rd.

This is a much more beautiful setup than the pics they have been putting out. Is there that much room by the Staples Center?

Because I don't f**king like Los Angeles and I want my team to stay in Northern California. If they're not here then they're not my "beloved 49ers". I'm not going to support my team getting stolen. f**k that, that is f**king stupid and you know it but you're just being selfish and trying to troll us by hoping to jack our team. Seriously, gtfo with this crap.

I guess so. The best thing is that it's entirely privately funded. God, if only we had an owner like Phil Anschutz. He can give this team a stadium the Yorks never could. Of course, all the dumbass bandwagon fans around here who cry "f**k LA" will abandon ship. No matter. LA's fanbase is much bigger than the number of people who would abandon this team.
I've come to the conclusion that SanDiego and Area are the same person.

Actually, I hadn't noticed SanDiego until a few months ago. But it's nice to see there are still some intelligent, thoughtful 49er fans who are capable of phrases longer and more intelligent than "f**k LA" or "Jed really DOES want to win".

~ That's a completely gorgeous picture. I like the idea...
~ Phil Anschutz would be good. Ed Roski would be good.
~ I heard Magic Johnson was trying to put together a group for an NFL team.
~ Private funding is good.
~ Just getting it done is better than being so incompetent like the Yorks.

I'm ready for change. YES WE CAN!

I don't think it's ugly. I certianly don't think we can be picky, if we get a stadium we should just be happy when it's finally up. Maybe I'm boring or old fashion, but those examples seem like over kill and kind of gimmicky.
