All the details you could ever want about the design of the new Santa Clara Stadium... It looks like they actually moved the site tho. It was supposed to be on the other side of that creek (the treeline in the lower left of the first pic). They moved it right next to the existing 49ers Facility....4949 Centennial. It now looks like one big complex. I know there are alot of people who don't like it because it kinda bland, but I personally like it. It reminds me of Lincoln Financial in Philli. Anything prior to 2006 was posturing from the city of San Francisco in an attempt to win an Olympic bid.

I don't agree with this guy as far as the cost of the stadium being cheap, but he

Dome? lol Bracus, I dont know where you're from but Santa Clara has some of the best weather in all of CA, the only place I can think of is maybe SD and a few parts in SoCal that has better weather in this state.

A dome is a waste of money, 80's in the preseason and 60's in Dec... doesnt get much better than that.

Why would you want our beloved 49ers to play in that s**thole they've drawn up for Santa Clara when they could be playing here ?

Second-largest market in the country. Just imagine the media exposure the Los Angeles 49ers would get. Certainly a lot more than the San Francisco 49ers or Santa Clara 49ers will ever get!

I guess so. The best thing is that it's entirely privately funded. God, if only we had an owner like Phil Anschutz. He can give this team a stadium the Yorks never could. Of course, all the dumbass bandwagon fans around here who cry "f**k LA" will abandon ship. No matter. LA's fanbase is much bigger than the number of people who would abandon this team.

Actually, I hadn't noticed SanDiego until a few months ago. But it's nice to see there are still some intelligent, thoughtful 49er fans who are capable of phrases longer and more intelligent than "f**k LA" or "Jed really DOES want to win".

I don't think it's ugly. I certianly don't think we can be picky, if we get a stadium we should just be happy when it's finally up. Maybe I'm boring or old fashion, but those examples seem like over kill and kind of gimmicky.
