"Re-allocated to teachers and schools" really means "wasted on the administrative beurocracy of the teachers union". I doubt any kids will directly benefit from the money.

Agreed.

As much as teachers and schools complain about funding I've seen so much money wasted by school districts for the stupidest garbage and using education is just a ploy so they can take the money without looking bad.

Nice misplaced anger.

Exactly, this stadium is going to be built regardless of the 30 million or not. BTW Teachers pay into the union not counties...

I know the team will eat the loss but this doesn't look good for the county. All this will do in the long run is alienate big corporations and push them to other areas that are more "trustworthy" one that won't renig on a contract. Way to go local govt. for fostering future job growth.
how do you guys think the santa clara move will effect potential FA signings? SF is a huge market and one of the greatest cities in the world, santa clara is just santa clara. i think the warriors have been getting screwed out of FA signings since they went to oakland. i hope the same isnt true for the niners

It makes no difference at all... They practice in Santa Clara already, what difference does the stadium location mean? South bay has some really nice places to live and if he wants to live in the city he can still live there

It's all one market . . and the most of the team and staff is already located in the South Bay/South Peninsula area close to HQ.

This. The 49ers will get their money and the county will be out that money plus all of their and the 49ers legal fees.

Really, really stupid move with no forethought.

I'm all for teachers and such, but that ain't what this is about. This is a guy who doesn't like the stadium trying to go around the process to make a point and use teachers as an excuse.

Bad form dude. Bad form.

Plus San Jose is right thur, and San Jose IS A NICE ASS PLACE TO LIVE.
TVs on the back of seats is awesome! The one thing that sucks when watching live games is the little access to view repays as the game happens fast live.

This commitee has all new members. These guys weren't part of the members who voted when the stadium proporsal went on the ballot. That's why they pulled the $30M without any remorse.
