Ya, you don't own it cause for events like the super bowl you don't get rights to tickets. And you have to buy your season ticket every year or lose license.
But in terms of football, if someone wants to get season tickets they are first going to have to come through the SBL owners.
Or if they just want tix to almost any game, they have to go to the season tix holders. I heard it will be a very limited supply available to the general public. That would suck if I were not now an SBL holder, but as an SBL holder its a pretty good deal to be the only game in town. ;-)
Yeah and you only had to pay 20 grand for that. More actually if you finance it.
20k? Why...they are 5K each and I got 2. They'll be paid off before the interest hits in 2014.
10k then. Thought you got 4, my bad.
I just wouldn't exactly call that "lucky."
LOL.
Whats "lucky" is that I got tix in the 200 section 3 months early and am in position to move to much better seats should they become available because people (like you) are balking at the price.
It's "lucky" that I won't be stuck with whatever is left after all of the season tix holders have had their chance.
Who says I am balking at the price? My relocation is date and time stamped already bud.
I just feel bad for all the people falling for all the sales crap about this being an investment. The niners got incredibly lucky with the timing of all this. It is a perfect storm of a team that was one win from the SB, a new tech bubble in the bay and a new stadium. There is a reason the team is forcing people to make a decision before the season starts. The niners suck this year and that 10g's "investment" you just bought already loses money. One of the people mentioned buy low and sell high. Well this is definitely a high point. There may be others but you are basically banking on the team winning the SB in the first 5 years and the economy being booming at that time. It is highly unlikely.
Now I'm not hating on people buying them. Go for it, I will be. Just don't consider yourself lucky, you are paying out the ass for these rights. It isn't an investment, it is a luxury.
If you want to be super "lucky" I'm sure the niners will sell you any remaining club level seats. There is no real priority here which is my main point. This is simply a case of money walks and BS talks. People willing to throw cash around will get what they want.
Time to short it.
