Well, I knew this was going to happen, but it still hurts

Thank you Gore for all those wonderful years, being the only positive point on this team the past 10 seasons. I hope this leaving doesn't sour you on the 49er fan base and hope you realize we all love and adore you as the greatest RB in our franchise history. You gave us so much happiness, great moments, and got us to believe even when the rest of the country told us not to during the Nolan/Singletary Era.

Although I do not agree with your choice in the Eagles (first, they are a stretch and misdirect-style of running that doesn't fit well with Gore's power-run game. second, the Eagles couldn't make it out of their division, let alone into the playoffs. third, if he was to leave, I would've preferred him going to Indy, with a chance to win a SB, which he deserves. Finally, Chip Kelly is all "me, me, me" when it comes to his game planning, which could hinder Gore's role/productivity in Philly if/when his stretch-run numbers are low.), I only wish the best of luck in your pursuit of a championship you deserve. Love ya Gore
Frank Gore fan...but he is not worth what the Eagles are going to pay him. I'd much rather use that money to upgrade the DBs, WRs, and OL.

No 30+ year old RB is worth the big bucks.

5 mil a year isn't really big bucks IMO

Because we should pay 20 mill right ?

No, because Jed York said "somehow we will get it done". In other words, don't fxxking talk sh*t when you haven't the faintest clue whether you could get a deal done, is called talking out of your as*. (disregard whether the Eagles are overpaying him).

With all due respect, this is a ridiculous statement. Is it possible that he really does/did want him back, and that the Iggles came hard after Gore with some big fat money? These are not mutually exclusive actions ... in other words, both things could be equally true. Your anti York bias is shining through brightly.

Niners could NEVER afford that

Eagles aren't paying him that either.

3 years 15 million, which is less than he made with us the last 3 years.

Isn't he getting 7.5 million the first year?

No. 7.5 million guaranteed over the first TWO years.

I am wondering if Jed even has daily talks with Trent.

he may not.
he may get his NFL news from NFL.com
seriously.

we have no idea if he is day to day real time or reactive to news. i am sure all owners are different.

Sad to see him go but hopefully he gets 1240 more yards over the next 2 years and finishes 8th all-time in rushing just ahead of Jim Brown. Then he'll go into the Hall of Fame as a 49er some day.

Hopefully as a 9er, unless things go really well on Philadelphia. I doubt lynch will retire as a buffalo bill. Sounds like frank isn't leaving us with warm feelings he like harbaugh a lot.
I just hope he doesn't get taken advantage of by the Eagles and be promised a bigger role than he really gets. I know being the primary RB is still very important to him, will be interesting to see how many touches he gets in that wide open offense
If true,The green birds are picking Mr.Gore up mainly because he is the best RB in the game at picking up the blitz and catching the ball out of the backfield....oh yea " thanks for the memory's " Mr. Gore one of this Teams all time Greats...BAR NONE. ! Sad to see him go if true...hope he gets to the Hall of Fame

I think his receiving skills will be on display in Philly.

SUCKS!! With that Philly offense, he'll get 1350 yards from scrimmage and you can bank on it. He doesn't just have to run, he can still do screens or be the safety valve or just be Foles personal bodyguard. They'll get their money's worth. I hope we see him accepting his HOF jacket as 49ers someday.
