They need to give both quarterbacks the same throws.

Although maybe they are using the same plays, and Hill is just not taking attempts downfield....

It's you, Hill cannot comfortably throw a 30-40 yard pass, He can throw it but not comfortably, but it's good that he knows his limits because then he does not go off throwin 50 yard bombs that would be intercepted.

I think your mistaken. Hill can connect from 30-40 yards, as he did several times last year. The passes that he suppposedly cannot make, are the 40+ yard throws on the seam or deep post routes.

Exactly. Anyone remember the 45+ yard throw to VD against Dallas last year? If you go back to see that video, you will see that the pass was PERFECT and hit Davis in stride. great throw.

Alex can throw the 45+ yard pass better but then all the Smith supporters want him to start so that we can have 1 to 4 types of passes a game thrown better over a guy who can throw 14 to 18 types of passes better?

It all comes down to the fact that Hill only lacks one ability and that's the 45+ yard pass whereas Smith lacks much more.

Wait for the pre-season games before anyone decides which Q.B. should start.

Please do not use logic in these forums. Too many people don't understand it when you do.

I'm all for waiting for preseason games because that's when "Gamer" will shine.

All you ever do his slurp Hill's shlong.

And, before you come back and say that I ride Smith's jock, no, I don't. I don't like any of the top three quarterbacks on our roster.

I can see your point but at least Gamer has a schlong to slurp...wait a second...

Anyways, all three of these guys is all we have and Gamer is the best one out of the three that we have seen so far. That's why I think Gamer should get it.

Lets see if this "gamer" can handle a 16 game season when teams stack the box and limit his game and Franks game.

Look I like Hill as much as the next guy and even as an "Alex supporter" (hate that term now), I think Hill deserves to start but I think he'll only get so far.

I want Hill to start but sooner or later, if or when he's ready, Alex needs to come in...well...unless Hill continues his winning percentage.
He's no longer Shaun Hill. He's

We want Smith to start because he has more "talent". JTO had more talent than both of these guys. We need the Gamer.

Yeah but in that same Cowboys game right after Manny Lawson intercepted Romo, the 9ers were inside their own 20 (i think it was the 18, i'll have to rewatch my DVR) but low and Behold Hill Throws a pick intended for B. Johnson, cuz it was a weak throw.

Don't even bring up the 2nd Rams game because that Touchdown that Josh Morgan caught was meant for J. Hill.

That his arm is weak which is what we have been discussing...
and in the rams game he looked horrible.

I'm saying lets just stick this year out. And draft Colt McCoy next year in the draft. He is already better than Alex Smith and Shaun Hill but we would make him sit a couple games to learn and not throw him into the fire like we did with Alex and ruin his career.
No i can't wait another year to be in the playoffs. by the way ima Texas Fan but i don't know how well Mccoy is going to fair in the NFL because he does not play under center.

It was still a 48 yard pass. And actually Hill looked terrible in the first three quarters. I've always looked at things as "It doesn't matter how you start, what matters is how you end it", Hill threw two TD passes in the 4th quarter and that's all that matters.
