Is it just me, or are they not even giving Hill the throws downfield? We know Hilll doesn't have the "cannon" that Smith has, but Smith is simply completing 30-40 yard passes, which I know Hill is capable of, very comfortably. I do not quite understand this. They need to give both quarterbacks the same throws.
Although maybe they are using the same plays, and Hill is just not taking attempts downfield....
It's you, Hill cannot comfortably throw a 30-40 yard pass, He can throw it but not comfortably, but it's good that he knows his limits because then he does not go off throwin 50 yard bombs that would be intercepted.
I think your mistaken. Hill can connect from 30-40 yards, as he did several times last year. The passes that he suppposedly cannot make, are the 40+ yard throws on the seam or deep post routes.
Exactly. Anyone remember the 45+ yard throw to VD against Dallas last year? If you go back to see that video, you will see that the pass was PERFECT and hit Davis in stride. great throw.
Alex can throw the 45+ yard pass better but then all the Smith supporters want him to start so that we can have 1 to 4 types of passes a game thrown better over a guy who can throw 14 to 18 types of passes better?
It all comes down to the fact that Hill only lacks one ability and that's the 45+ yard pass whereas Smith lacks much more.
Wait for the pre-season games before anyone decides which Q.B. should start.
Please do not use logic in these forums. Too many people don't understand it when you do.

And actually Hill looked terrible in the first three quarters. I've always looked at things as "It doesn't matter how you start, what matters is how you end it", Hill threw two TD passes in the 4th quarter and that's all that matters.
