I'm sorry. This is just to ridiculous of a thread/post to continue.

It will get heated up again once Training Camp begins!

THIS one will probably be locked within 2 weeks, but yet another lengthy QB thread will emerge. This is the power that Alex holds over some of you... fear the rise of the Phoenix!

I don't know? We'll see, he seems much more determined this year!

Judging by that picture wouldn't that mean that the OLine sucked and not the QB. Smith has 3 sets of hands on him. You can't blame the QB for that
... but that's just an Alexcuse... he was a 1st overall pick! He should have fought them all off and thrown a 40 yard laser- TD as fire came out of his eyes + rear!

that is 2nd overall stuff. He should have just said "FLAME ON!!!" then broke free for a 99 yard TD run
just give Hill the job already
im down for whoever plays better. Id rather it be smith b/c he is young, ahletic, and b/c of his potential, but, I loved watching hill play man he won us games. either way if we win i will be happy!

Naw actually he was holding the ball too long. You know his patented "Deer in headlights look"

Exactly!! That's why he gets rocked so often. He does not move his feet to avoid pressure or sacks and holds onto the ball too long because he can not process the field of play quickly in real time. He over-thinks until he gets nailed.

As one member put it, the only real progress we've seen from Smith while he played was his ability to check down to Gore -- something not very impressive at all. This, among other inherent problems with his game (that existed BEFORE his injury) were discussed a couple of years ago in official articles on this site.

+1

The check down should be the easiest throw to execute. Just dump the ball off to your RB or FB and let them gain 2 or 3 yards. You can argue that our O-line hasn't been top notch in the past few years, but it shouldn't take anymore than 3 to 4 seconds. Any NFL QB should be able to do that in their sleep. Alex Smith does not play with any confidence. It shows on the field and his teammates seem to lack confidence in him too. It's hard to trust your QB if he can't win.

Alex Smith = 19 TDs, 31 INTs in 4 seasons, 3 of which he played in.

Terry Bradshaw: 46 INTs and 22 TD's in first two seasons, both of which he played in. Gosh, that's more INT's in two years than Smith had in four years. This Bradshaw is a bust.

And Ryan Leaf had 33 interceptions and 13 TDs in his first 2 seasons. By your logic, this Leaf guy and Alex Smith are bound for the Hall of Fame, right?

Alex is Alex; He is not Leaf and he is not Bradshaw.
