Agreed! The focus should now be on who will be the second string QB. Like I said earlier, Davis should be given an opportunity, atleast a couple of series, to play with the first team O.

and no pass rush.

yea im worried after the last 2 weeks. we still have no pass rush, neither qb stepped up and shaun took a step back. our run game looks tremendous. i mean shaun hill was supposed to march the team down the field and into the end zone and hes not doing it anymore. what gives? pass rush looks nonexistant, i wouldnt be surprised if we finished below last year's total of 30 sacks. yea we won the game but their first teamers outplayed ours imo. ugh.
I have a feeling that the offense is going to have a hard week of practice, coach is going to be all up their asses after the shoddy performance. I am re-watching the game now,and Smith did look better than Hill, which shouldn't be happening...ugh.
Smith started the game of solid, he had a nice 3rd down conversion over the middle to Davis. Then later in the drive Vernon dropped one of several Smith passes.

Davis, Bruce, & Morgan all dropped Smith's passes.

Smith also had a couple of throwaways.

Smith had three passes dropped, not counting the int that Morgan should have caught. While he didn't look great, he looked better than Hill tonight.

Hill should have started, terrible decision to bench him which in fact threw off his rhythm today.

thats an excuse and you know it.

You're pretty delusional if you don't think Hill would've had a better game throwing to Bruce and Vernon starting the game. Both options were off limit in the second quarter when he entered the game.

This whole Smith and Hill argument has become ideological. Why can't we just admit that Hill didn't look very good tonight? I thought excuses were frowned upon by all the Smith bashers.

i'd be surprised if a decision were made off tonight's play

if it goes down to next week someone needs to pull away, if they both suck

Old news Billy, Hill better play better than he did tonight. If not, I'd just as soon have Smith in there. Tonight Hill looked like the guy that hadn't played in 18 months.
