Tbh things like what they did should have massive fines. It's the raiders, so we laugh, but that really messed up a lot for them. They may recoup it but there's a chance they won't. Everyone knows they're in a pinch now.

the league should investigate and do a physical on him, see if them backing out because of the physical has any merit. If not, several million dollar fine and draft picks, IMO. Teams shouldn't be doing that.

b***h move by Ravens. Secured Crosby by giving up a s**t load of capital (in essence eliminating other suitors), had buyers remorse, then started working on getttimg Hendrickson secured. Something tells me if Hendrickson had not signed with them, the Crosby deal goes through.

They should face heavy fines for that move they just pulled.

I thought the trade wasnt official, and none of the trades officially are until today. A verbal agreement may be the agreed procedure and its a bad look optics wise and ethics-wise, but technically its within the rules. So why fine someone if theyre doing something within the rules ?

The league is just used to verbal agreement being the end, so then the trade gets reported.

It happens with players too, like Kendricks with us in 2024. He backed out even though there was already report he was signing with us.

100%, the pre-tampering period thing is stupid. If FA starts today and it coincides with cap requirements, then it should be today. I don't care if there are no actual deals until next Monday etc.

I would not be shocked if this is the end of the legal tampering crap. Its great for fans as we are clamoring for NFL news always, but as soon as it makes teams look foolish its a wrap.

100%, the pre-tampering period thing is stupid. If FA starts today and it coincides with cap requirements, then it should be today. I don't care if there are no actual deals until next Monday etc.

I would like to see the league clamp down of teams talking with players prior to the opening of free agency. Start handing out fines or better yet taking away a draft pick. The way it is now is a joke.

As far as the Ravens-Raiders trade it's not the first time a team has backed out of a deal. Teams shoud have the right to have an injured player examined by their own doctor.

No it shouldn't, an agreement isn't final until physicals are completed and contracts are signed. The (pre-tampering period) process may suck, but the fact of the matter is there was no contract, just a verbal agreement. The argument is that it gives a cooling off time. I don't see it working that way.
