He has not looked like the Jalen Hurts of old. The old Jalen would have started running by now. He was always a threat with his legs. That's what made him an elite player. He was always a threat to take off. He doesn't do that anymore.

Those were Aiyuks deadlines and he missed all of them. The 49ers are not keeping him from anything, he can report and get reinstated whenever he wants. While I'm sure the 9ers are not happy with him there isn't any real proof that this is malicious. It is simply in our best interest at this point to keep him as it helps build a case against his breach of contract and claw back some $

He's not on the roster. They don't need to do anything.

I think it's his head that's getting in the way. I feel for him it that's the case. But he can't get out of his own way. Dude needs help or he will be gone like Aldon Smith. So sad.

yup, that's why players who overly depend on athleticism to be good - has a fast downfall. All those hits break you down and gets harder and harder.

thats why having a qb who can play in the pocket, BUT ALSO MOVE, is ideal. if they need to be mobile to be effective, they're temporary. Hurts has never been a great passer, he just had all stars around him and it made things easier on him, especially the run game and stout defense/offensive line. Now that those positions are average or hurt, you're seeing what he really is capable of.

we've see brock can still play with everything around him failing. We're now seeing most qbs cant do that.
