Like it or not, the 49ers -- due to the teams legacy, and recent success (sans winning the SB) -- are the Gold Standard of the division.
They get others teams best effort, more times than not! Opponents use the Niners as their measuring rod. And when it comes to division
games, it's ramped up to another level.
I hate it as well, but it's a reality. Teams play like crap week in and out, roller coaster style - come time to play SF, they become
